This two bedroom Penthouse apartment is situated on the outskirts of La Cala town just ten minutes (flat walking) from the beach, shops, bars, restaurants and the local supermarket. It stands on a secure, gated, child friendly development with easy access to all amenities, including the typical local Spanish market selling everything from bags, shoes, jewellery etc: and an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables.
It is ideal for families, golfers and beach lovers alike.
Leading from all of the rooms is a spacious, completely private, 110 sq. mtr. wrap around terrace, with stunning views across the golf course and mountains beyond..The apartment is ideal for families, with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area during your stay.
The club house is within a five minute walk and can be seen from the terrace.
There is a lift in the apartment building located directly outside the front door, this takes you down to the secured underground parking area.

The lounge-diner is open plan with access to the terrace via sliding doors. The dining table seats up to six people. Furniture comprises of two seater sofa bed, one easy chair, two glass display cabinets, Free-Sat.TV which includes all BBC, ITV, channels four and five, some film channels and many more.
Free wi-fi, however you will need to bring your own laptop.
Sleeps four comfortably. For those couple of extra guests there is a double sofa bed.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom has a double bed, bedside table and large double fitted wardrobes (with drawers). Access to terrace via sliding doors.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds with bedside cabinet and large fitted wardrobes (with drawers). Access to terrace via sliding doors.
En-suite bathroom to master bedroom has bath, wc, bidet and sink vanity unit with large mirror above.

Both bathrooms have shower attachments and screens.
The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, dishwasher, extractor hood, large fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, toaster and various utensils, ..
All bedlinen and towels supplied but do bring your own towels for the beach and pool.

The south facing 110 sq. mtr wrap around terrace is extremely quite, completely private and is a real sun trap. It has wonderful uninterupted views across the golf course and mountains beyond. Patio furniture includes two sets of tables and chairs, barbecue, four sun loungers, one large parasol and one smaller.
Entry to the grounds of the development are by intercom located in each apartment. The gardens are well maintained tropical green areas, ideal for young children to play safely. There is a communal pool and a smaller one for children. There is also a paddle court if you are feeling energetic.
During high season and new clients arriving on your day of departure you may be asked to vacate the property before 10:00 am. Access to the apartment on a changeover day would be after 3:00 pm.
There is a lift in the apartment building providing wheelchair access.
Strictly no smoking inside the apartment.
25% of the rental fee is required to secure the booking and the balance to be paid six weeks prior to your stay. All monies to be paid in GBPounds, however would consider payment in Euros.
The Costa del Sol region
The coast has typically Mediterranean summers and cool and sunny winters and overall is sunnier than almost anywhere in Europe. It is common to see people swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the beaches from February onwards during spells that can reach higher than 25C/77F. During July and August along the coast the average temperature is about 30C/86F.
Places of interest :
An imposing feature of Andalucia is the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Granada, they are covered in snow for much of the year. Where else could you ski in the morning and be on a beach two hours later.
The Alhambra Palace also in Granada.
The Picasso Museum in Malaga.
Take a day trip to Gibraltar, well worth a visit.

The Mijas Costa / La Cala de Mijas area
La Cala is a former fishing village and the only traditional Spanish coastal town between Marbella and Fuengirola. It is now a flourishing all year round golf and beach resort. It also boasts the Hipodromo one of only two racecourses operating in Andalucía, great for a family outing.
There are miles of golden sands ideal for a relaxing morning or evening stroll, stop at one of the many chiringuitos dotted along the beach where you can sample freshly caught seafood and traditional Spanish food.
In addition to golf there is the choice of tennis, lawn bowls, horse riding and various water sports.
Throughout the last two weeks of September the entire area takes part in the Feria. Village streets are closed, food and drink is served in the streets by local bars and restaurants, plus you will find street musicians and every kind of entertainment.

La Cala lies on the Costa Del Sol between Fuengirola and Marbella and is served by Malaga airport approximately a 25 minute drive. Budget airlines such as Easy Jet, Monarch, Ryan Air, and BMI Baby fly into Malaga on a regular basis.
If you want to hire a car, I have used carjet.com on numerous occasions and have found them to be cheap and reliable.

Our stay here was the first week of may and we found everything we wanted. If you are looking for all day sunshine then this is the place to book with its massive wrap round terrace you have the sun all day long.
The apartment had everything we needed for a pleasant stay and was close enough to all the local facilities of La Cala village which is a very nice place to sit and sip a few drinks and has enough restaurants to not get bored what you are eating.
Key collection was very easy and the apartment easy to find, the furniture was all looking near new and comfortable, the mattress was excellent and we slept very well indeed, all in all it was everything we expected from the pics and information available and we were not disappointed and have recommended to friends for a place to stay.

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It was very comfortable, great outdoor space for sunbathing and relaxing and had everything in the apartment that catered for all our needs, could ask for anything more.
Within walking distance to the village of La Cala with its many great restaurants, as well as the beach. La Cala is a very family orientated place to stay.
