The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol has long been one of the most desirable locations in which to holiday. An area where in the space of a day you can breakfast on the sun terrace, ski in the Sierra Nevada, swim, golf or shop in the afternoon, dine 'al fresco' at sundown and party in the nightclubs till dawn.
The climate in the region is second to none with an average of more than 300 days of sunshine per year. The 'Costa del Golf' as it is widely known is home to more championship courses than anywhere else in Europe. Coupled with the yachting marinas, theme parks, theatres, a racecourse and the White Villages of Andalucia' then it is easy to see why the Costa del Sol keeps attracting visitors year after year.

La Calla has two festivals in July and August.The beach is only a 5 minute walk away and is a flat easy walk with no hills to climb which makes it perfect for any age including children and the elderly. Cabopino is a beautiful small marina with nice restaurants and a secluded beach with waves for the amateur surfer great fun for all the family.
Malaga city is 20 minutes drive away for the cultured holiday maker with several festivals of dance and music throughout the year. Malaga cente is 9 miles away by car, with fantastic shops and promenade. Paurto Banus is 15 miles away and worth the trip to see the rich and famous playground with expensive boats and boutiques. For those of you traveling in the winter time then the ski resort of Sierra Neverda is only 1 hour 30 mins away.
How to get there
La Cala is ideally located for access to both Malaga (20 mins) and Gibraltar (45mins) airports, serviced by Easyjet, RyanAir, BMI Baby, Monarch and many other airlines.
Car hire is cheap and highly recommended to enable the traveller to visit the multitude of attractions within an hour's drive of La Cala. I have used carjet.co.uk and find this reasonable.

Further details indoors: Our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom ground floor apartment benefits from its own private garden looking directly onto oen of the communal swimming pools.
The master bedrooms opens directly onto the terrace via double doors. The bedroom itself consists of a double bed, fitted wardrobes (with safe) and en-suite bathroom. This bathroom contains a sink, toilet, beeday and bath with shower.
The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a single bed with a double wardrobe and chest of drawers. The en-suite to this room consists of a toilet, sink and shower.
The living room and separate dining area are open plan and open directly onto the terrace via double doors. The living room itself comprises of 2 sofas, coffee table, satellite TV and DVD. The separate dining area allows sitting for up to 8 people.
The luxury equipped kitchen & laundry room has all the modern benefits you would expect, oven, halogen hob, panni maker, george forman grilling machine, gas bbq, extractor, dishwasher, fridge/freeze, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine. There is also a cool box should you wish to take food out with you.
Further details outdoors: The development is landscaped and has ample green spaces ideal for small children to let of steam. There are 4 outdoor communal swimming pools and 1 heated children's pool.
