Superb large 2 bed apartment in the beautiful area of La Cala Hills. Sleeps 4 with 2 camp beds if required. Our apartment is ideally situated between Fuengirola and Marbella. This is a great base to visit all the attractions, whether it is the Lively town of Fuengirola , the olde-worlde charm of Mijas, or the glitz of Puerto Banus, this area has it all.
Our favourite location ideal for families, couples and golfers is the village of la Cala, less than 10 mins drive. Here you have numerous bars/restauraunts and the fabulous beach and chiringitos (beach bars) The apartment is situated in a gated community with sub tropical gardens, 3 lovely swimming pools, all with great mountain views. We are closest to the large pool - ideal for families with small children as not much of a trek to get to the sunbeds! The apartment is Fully AC. There is Sky TV, and unlimited internet access (take your own computer). There is a supermarket, and 2 bars which provide snacks /lunches early bird drinks at half price etc all within an 8 minute walk. Golf, Horse Riding. shopping all within 5-10- mins drive.
There are numerous championship golf courses within a 3 minute drive, e.g Mijas Golf, Santana Golf, and famous La Cala Golf. On site bars serve tasty snacks all day , ideal for golfers who don't want to drive! Beautiful La Cala Town /beach is a 10 minute drive away with its huge variety of restaurants and bars, supermarkets, For families, Couples, or Golfers this area has it all. It is a great base for visiting all attractions, and places of interest, or to simply unwind in the beautiful surroundings.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
La Cala Hills is an ideal location, it is only 15km from Marbella with all its chic restaurants and bars and 5km from Fuengirola with all its lively charm. La Cala is the closest town (previously an old fishing village!) and is less than 5km away. close to the complex walking distance there are 2 snack bars that serve tapas and snack food, one with large TV for sports etc.
A mini supermarket and bakery and a newly opened Kashmiri restaurant. La Cala village is less than a 10 min drive with gorgeous large beaches,which have been awarded the blue flag for safety and cleanliness. Toilets and changing facilities are here. In the summer months the children will love the trampolines, and water activities. Fuengirola is also less than 10 mins drive with great shops, restaurants and water park, and zoo.
This area has everything close by - a car is recommended to get the most from your holiday , but taxis are always on hand. Visit Mijas Pueblo, a charming village with lots of history , and traditional donkey rides, leather shops, and olde worlde restaurants. Puerto Banus is only a 20 minute drive away.for all those of you with oodles of money for the designer shopping, and delicious sea food. Benelamadena is a must for the kids with Tivoli world, sea life and seeing the whales and dolpins.
For the golfers this is Golf world! too many courses to mention but I am told that Santana Golf ( 5 mins) is one of the best kept secrets for a stunning course. Mijas Golf and La Cala resort are less than 5-10 mins drive. This area has it all for a perfect family , romantic or golfing holiday.
Mijas Costa / La Cala Hills area
La Cala boasts a Blue Flag Beach Award which means safe and clean and has many water sports and activities to suit every taste. Approximately 3km from La Cala Hills there is a terrific choice of restaurants, bars and shops. The market on Wednesday and Saturday is a must for the bargain hunters. Mijas ( 15 mins drive) has long been attracting foreign residents with its cobbled streets and quaint, old Spain ambiance, little gift shops , restaurants , and traditional donkey rides a must! -
Horse Racing at the Hipodromo Mijas: Located just of the N340 heading towards Mijas this is one of the most popular attractions in the coast . Check website for times etc something not to be missed.
La Cala Hills is in between Fuengirola and Marbella. It is one of the best kept secrets on the Costa Del Sol due to its fantastic location! Designer shops, hypermarkets, cinemas, bars, numerous restaurants and tapas bars all within 10 mins drive. La Cala is a little town and becomes very addictive with its great beaches, stunning golf courses (over 40). It is also a great base from which to visit every attraction, Mijas with its quaint cobbled streets, donkey rides, leather shops. Fuengirola with a great water park, and the kids will love Tivoli world just 15 minutes by car.
Famous Puerto Banus, just 20 mins by car with fantastic beach, bars, restaurants, and designer shops. Rub shoulders with the famous at Nikki beach jazz club 10 mins drive. Markets are in abundance, and in the summer months the kids will love the beach activities. Gibraltar is reachable within 1.5 hours with its famous monkeys and caves and duty free goods. Malaga City boasts great architecture and the Picasso Museum and birth place. Too much to do - or perhaps you prefer to unwind by the pool - take it easy and enjoy the views.
How to get there
Malaga is an international airport and so low cost flights are readily available with most airlines. Ryanair, Easyjet, Monarch, BMI , British Airways, Iberia, jet2. The drive from malage to our apartment is approximately 20 minutes. Taxis or car hire available. We recommend you pre- book your car hire several months in advance to get the best rates.
High speed train AVG from Madrid to Malaga. Trains avaialble as far a Fuengirola then bus or taxi - 10 mins.

Further details indoors: The apartment is in a gated complex with 2 communal pools to choose from with sun loungers provided. We have a large sunny lounge with views of the countryside and mountains. -totally relaxing - unwind with a glass of wine and take in the view of mijas mountains, the twinkle of the lights in the evening is very relaxing.
There are 2 large bathrooms and 2 large bedrooms (we also have 2 camp beds). We have enough seating to completely relax or chill with friends. For the children there is a big red novelty chair in the shape of a hand that swivels- kids love it! Where possible we try to provide toiletries, fresh dish cloths, tea/coffee washing powder etc. to make your stay as easy as possible.

Gardens are shared with the other guests and owners in the complex. English-speaking representative on hand to answer any questions - a must if you have any problems in Spain!
Conditions
Strictly no smoking except on the balcony. Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection). 10% of rental fee due immediately to secure booking. Full payment to be made 8 weeks before arrival. There is a lift in the apartment building providing wheelchair access.

(Non refundable if booking is cancelled by renter) Final payment is required 8 weeks before arrival at the apartment. We ask a 100 Euro /GBP damages cheque which is returned after inspection - usually within 1 week.
