The Andalucia region

Mijas Costa is situated in the heart of the Western Costa del Sol and just 35 kilometres from Malaga International Airport. It has a varied landscape that goes from the mountains all the way to the sea. It lies 10km from Fuengirola in the direction of Marbella (25km)

Below the town are many of the most popular resorts on the Costa del Sol

Cabopino: (3-5 mins drive)

Cabopino beach are situated on the coast, halfway between Fuengirola and Marbella. Miles of beautiful sandy beaches with water sports, fishing and boat trips. There is also a pleasant harbour and renowned restaurants. Cabopino is one of the Costa del Sol's best kept secrets. Ideal for kids as shallow water!!

Marbella: (10 mins drive)

One of the most delightful promenades on the Costa Del Sol, with its classy restaurants and bars overlooking the beach front. A visit to the Orange Square will bring you to a host of street restaurants in the old part of Marbella.

Puerto Banus: (15 mins drive)

Mega rich yachts, world famous fashion shops, Casino, shopping centre, top beaches and spectacular views make this place special.. The nightlife is buzzing with numerous Bars & Restaurants overlooking the marina. Hire a yacht and go out into the Mediterranean

Benalmadena: (30 mins drive)

A lively resort with its beautiful sandy beaches & a spectacular promenade 2km long. Visit the Marina Plaza, often described as Covent Garden on water. Other attractions include the Tivoli World theme park.

Mijas Pueblo: (20 mins drive)

One of the prettiest villages in Spain, this traditional village has breath taking views. Take a donkey ride to explore the charm of this village on the famous. Also lookout for the Mineral water spring at the entrance to the village

Ronda: (50 mins drive)

Ronda is truly a spectacular village, famous throughout Spain for the plunging river gorge which divides this enchanting village. Ronda also has the oldest & most beautiful bullring in the whole of Spain.

The Mijas Hippodrome, ( a racetrack) is situated a few km's from Riviera which has meetings every week and includes lots of entertainment around the course. Anyone visiting Mijas will of course want to wander through the beautiful, whitewashed mountain Pueblo to enjoy the spectacular views.

There are numerous organised trips to Morocco, Gibraltar Rhonda etc available to book within the village area

If you want to explore further afield there are many car rental agencies that will allow you to pick up a car at the airport and leave it there once finished. In the retail complex is a hire car company called Fetajo which I would recommend as they are very competitive with good quality cars and no hassle petrol wise. They will rent cars for your entire holiday or for just a few days. Pick up and drop off at the airport can be arranged.

Gibraltar: (90 mins drive)

Tax free shopping (Don't forget to take your passport along when visiting).

It is a must see visit like stepping out of Spain back into England within 5 minutes!.. Here you have a multitude of English High Street stores and wines, spirits, perfumes and cigarettes are duty free. When you visit Gibraltar, you will find that the people are friendly, helpful and always polite. They are very proud and if you visit on September 10th (National Day) wear red and white to help celebrate and to fit in!

It is an 8-10 minute walk to the nearest beach where there are more bars and eating facilities. The long sandy beach is well cared for, clean, soft and golden sand with sunbeds and parasols for rental. Max Beach Bar sits right on the beach at Riviera del Sol and offers a lovely view out to the sea. It is a great place to go for a drink in the evening when the weather has been hot as you get the cooling effect of the sea.

The local bus service and a taxi rank are just 5 minutes from the apartment. The buses are very cheap.

The Aztec club is 2 minutes walk from the apartment. In that complex are two bars with snack food, a good Italian restaurant, a gym, a heated pool, sun loungers, mini golf, hairdresser, and tennis courts. On certain days they provide an all inclusive deal with access to the pool and loungers and a full barbecue meal for around 10-15 euros. Watch some of the young kids there play tennis! They will astound you.

There are over 60 golf courses in the province of Malaga (more than any other province in Spain). More than 30 of these are to be found in the 'Costa del Golf' area.

So within 10-30 minutes drive from the apartment you will find several. The closest (Miraflores) is actually only 1 min away plus a driving range.

Calahonda is a 10-15 minute walk. There are a variety of restaurants, shops and bars/ discos, one in Calahonda and one at Max Beach. There are two major supermarkets there one in the main complex and one 100m up the hill. Both are good but the one in the main complex has a very competitive offering of fresh meat and fish with an onsite butcher and fishmonger.

La Cala a pretty little town is 5 minutes from Riviera by bus and has over a dozen restaurants and bars There are plenty of things to see and do for a day out. There is a large market each Saturday and Wednesday from early till 14-00.

Fuengirola (10Km) and Marbella (25Km) can both be reached on the local bus if you don't have a car. The beaches in both are magnificent and the array of shops and bars a paradise for shoppers. Both are exceptionally good places to shop for clothes and shoes. Fuengirola has a large market open on Tuesday and Saturday from early till 14-00.

Parque Aquatico Mijas is one of the main water parks on the coast and is located along the main road heading towards Fuengirola. "lovely apartment"

We stayed in this apartment for ten days in early October. Lovely peaceful location, only 10 main walk to the beach, even closer to the shops and restaurants; you can actually see the sea from the balcony! Looks even more spacious than on the pictures!
Has all the facilities to keep you comfortable during your stay. WiFi is good and helpful if you need to stay connected to the outside world. Well equipped kitchen should you decide to do some cooking, and BBQ is an added bonus!
Owners are very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to look after us-all the way through the process from enquiries to booking and our arrival.
Would be happy to stay again!

"Fab apartment but on a steep incline"

We loved the apartment - it was clean, spacious and extremely well equipped. Because it was on a steep incline the views it offered were lovely but it was quite a challenge for us to get up and down the hill to all the amenities and sea. As my husband and I both have mobility issues, we found the location a little challenging! Unfortunately, the local pool (which is not advertised on the site) was closed and the Aztec club was also closed for refurbishment which was a great disappointment to us as we would have loved to swim as the weather was so good. However, the local beach is very good and there are some good local restaurants within easy reach. We made the most of the great terrace and views!

The buses are very cheap to get around on and you can travel for a long way in each direction - the only problem we encountered was that they would often sail past us at peak times as they were full up and then it was a half hour wait for the next one to come along. We thoroughly recommend a visit to Marbella, especially the old town. Nanyana has ensured that there is plenty of info about all the amenities and activities at the apartment.

All in all, a super place but if you have any physical difficulties, we would recommend a car.

"Fantastic sun terrace"

Back for a second visit to this apartment. We love the terrace, sitting out from morning until late into the evening. WI-FI was brilliant allowing Phil to keep an eye on his business. We played four rounds of golf at Miraflores, very friendly and excellent food. They do a special dinner 5pm - 9.30pm three courses for less than 18euros each, the club is also open to non-golfers.
We will be returning again!

"A wonderful holiday all round"

We've had a fabulous time, the apartment is in a wonderful little spot with gorgeous views. It was an absolute pleasure to wake up to the sunny terrace. We came away for a relaxing break as we have very busy work lives, we got just what we were hoping for. The apartment offers a very comfortable stay, its spacious and nicely decorated with great little add ons (e.g. wifi which works wonderfully well all of the time, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds). The apartment is also great at staying cool even when it is truly baking outside.

The local amenities include very well stocked supermarkets (only 5 mins walk away) some nice little restaurants and great pool at the tennis club in Miraflores (short walk away). The pool at Miraflores was only 5 euros a day for sunbed and included a free drink - (we had the pool pretty much to ourselves) definitely worth a visit.

Lovely welcome and goodbye visit from Nayana who was really helpful giving information on pools etc.

If you've not been....we whole heartedly recommend you give it a try.

I'm sure we'll be returning.

Many Thanks Nayana

"Great Holiday"

We have all had a lovely holiday, apartment is lovely, WIFI a godsend, beautiful views from the balcony.
Nayana very helpful making booking very easy.

Would recommend 'Korma' Indian restaurant down the hill past supermarket round the corner also would definitely recommend DAVINCI Italian restaurant, down the hill towards the beach cross over road and go up across the walk way alongside the motorway, keep going until you come to a blue bridge to cross over the motorway. DAVINCIs is just down from there its great food.

Great apartment, Great weather , Great holiday!

"Excellent location to explore the Costa del Sol."

Lovely apartment with a large terrace to enjoy a beautiful sea view. Excellent base to explore the area. Close to Marbella and Puerto Banus, with lovely beaches on your doorstep. Highly recommend La Cala beach, and Cabo Pino beach.
All the essential facilities were nearby, with good choices of supermarkets, cafe's and restaurants (too many to mention).
The very friendly owners of the apartment had provided two folders containing detailed information of what you could do in the area, and places to visit. These were extremely useful.

"Lovely apartment. A home from home. Wi Fi is spot on."

I have just sent you a link from Trip Advisor asking you kindly to give our apartment a review. If you can spare a few minutes and do so, it will be much appreciated. If you want please copy and paste your comments as follow...

We have been holidaying on the Costa Del Sol/Golf for the past 10 years. We have stayed at many different apartments in various locations, from golf to sea views. Each one has had its plus & minus points, however this apartment has a lot of positive points and no negative points. The apartment was not over personal, but comfortable & clean. As professionals our lives at home are extremely busy, the last two weeks has been peaceful, relaxing and a total change. WIFI was a bonus, so we weren't too desert island.
Will be returning soon.

"Five stars"

Had a lovely stay and sunny weather. Used the terrace very often, very good it has a dinner table and lounge seat and sunbeds. Inside we appreciate the kitchen with everything to prepare a meal. Great bonus is the WIFI that works great! We had a rental car, but for some shopping the supermarket is nearby and you can walk there. Did a horse ride in Casares with "riding fun in the sun" you can even have a ride if you are a non-rider.

Had dinner @ Ginza. Teppanyaki table is fun and the food is fresh. Went to shopping mall La Canada and had lunch at Mr Wok. Good quality food and sushi. Also had dinner at the WOK in La Cala De Mijas, cosy ambiance, nice buffet, the food you can have wokked is very greasy, he uses a lot of olive oil.

To escape the dull, cold rainy weather (at home) this place/ apartment is wonderful. Visit the inland or just have a coffee (and brandy) @ Fuengirola in the sun.

Thanks Nayana for your warm welcome and the smooth communication by whatsapp or mail.

"Charming stay"

18. January to 15.February 2014

Arriving to Vista Hermosa we were welcomed by Nayana Adams and when we came to the apartment we felt us at home from day one.
The apartment are well furnished so we had no problem to relax during our 4 weeks stay
The terrazzo is perfect both for morning son and late afternoon son
The Wifi is a big plus because it was possible to connect the computer to the Samsung tv and in that way follow what happen at home in Denmark.
The location is perfect if you would like to go to Marbella or Fuengirola. 10 min and you are there.
Miraflores Golf club is very close (3 min) and very exiting.

No doubt we enjoyed our stay and will come back next Year just 8 weeks instead of 4 weeks

Thanks a lot
Merete and Knud
