Home description
Our light and airy apartment is fully equipped to give you an enjoyable and comfortable holiday. Set in a peaceful location with subtropical gardens, 3 shared swimming pools (inc. kiddies) plus secure parking and lifts, it's close to the Miraflores golf course (with many more courses within easy reach) and an easy drive from some beautiful sandy beaches. Tennis, badminton, beauty therapy etc. are 5 mins away. Water sports and parasailing 10 mins.
Eat al fresco on the terrace or enjoy a huge range of restaurants. There are great trips to white-washed Mijas, spectacular Ronda or stylish Marbella. Arrange car hire from Malaga (25 mins drive) or our agent will pick you up from the airport or arrange car hire from the apartment. It's a great place for families, golfers, couples and for those who like to explore an interesting country.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The sunshine coast of Spain has 300+ days of sunshine every year and plenty of activities to suit all ages and tastes. Riviera del Sol is situated in Mijas Costa between the bustling lively town of Fuengirola and the more sophisticated Marbella and Puerto Banus - or locally between the attractive village of La Cala and the popular port of Puerto Cabopino.
The excursion choices are many and varied, and our guests have gone to Gibraltar, Granada, Cordoba, Malaga, Marbella, Puerto Banus, Ronda and Mijas Pueblo - amongst other places.
Mijas Costa / Riviera del Sol area
Riviera del Sol is a well established, well maintained area and the apartment is in a good location at Paraiso Riviera. The nearest beaches are a 5 min drive, 10 minute walk (& cheap taxi back) at Riviera del Sol. There are three sandy beaches with good swimming on two and rocks / rock pools on the third and Chinguiritos (beach bar /eateries) at each end, with sun beds and palm shades if you want. The long beach at La Cala (10 mins) is gloriously unspoilt and has more of those small, informal eateries on the sand for sardines & chips and local beer, while Puerto Cabopino has some classy restaurants above both harbour and beach. This is the unspoilt part of the Costa del Sol. There are some attractive small towns and plenty of great food. Eat al fresco on the terrace or enjoy a huge range of restaurants in the area.
A short drive into the hills will take you to character Andalucian towns like white-washed Mijas, spectacular Ronda or stylish Marbella and day trips to Gibraltar, Malaga and Granada (coach trips available too) are easily done. It will seem as if you are only a short distance from everything at Riviera del Sol - positioned mid way between Marbella and Fuengirola in Mijas-costa. There are so many places to visit you will feel spoiled for choice.
There are also loads of water sports and children's fun activities available, including the water park, parasailing, dolphin trips, power boats and jetskis plus the zoo.. Further afield there's Tivoliworld theme park (which is like Chessington/Thorpe park)and the crocodile park.
Three mins drive / 8 mins walk away there's tennis courts, mini golf and badminton plus a fitness studio and beauty therapy centre. And there's riding and trekking too.
Golf is great here with the long hours of sunshine all year round. It�s 5 mins drive to Miraflores Golf course which offers 18 holes with great sea views. There�s also the Miraflores Golf Academy and the high-tech Driving Range. Golf enthuasiasts will be spoilt for choice here as there are many top golf courses along the coast..
Shopaholics will enjoy the large shopping malls at La Canada in Marbella, or Miramar in Fuengirola and the various street markets that all the towns offer on different days.
Buses and taxis are available within walking distance, and fast bendy buses run along the coastal dual carriageway with stop off points at all the local places. You can holiday without a car although car hire will definitely help for day trips out and about.
How to get there
Many airlines organise regular cheap flights to Malaga from London Stansted & Gatwick, Luton, Birmingham, Southampton, Bristol, Exeter, Manchester, Cardiff etc. Airlines with daily or regular flights include Easyjet, Flybe, BMI Baby, Monarch, My Travel, British Airways & others.
Malaga airport is approx 25 mins drive away. Car hire is easy from the airport: book in advance for cheaper rates. Try Record Go, Auriga Crown, Autos Lidos or SIXT Rent a Car. We will provide easy travel directions for you.
Or if you prefer not to hire a car at the airport use our Airport pick-up service which is quick & easy. Our agent will pick you up for €35 in the day and €45 at night and bring you direct to the apartment (return drop off at the same prices). He can also arrange for a local car to be delivered to the apartment whenever you want. Ask for a quote.
Alternatively you can take the train from Malaga to Fuengirola (approx every 30 mins) and then a 15 min taxi journey from there. There is an excellent frequent bus service which runs along the whole coastline of the Costa del sol, on the N340. In this case it's 15km from Fuengirola to Riviera del Sol.

Further details indoors: This is a quiet, gated development close to beaches and Golf courses but away from the noise. There is air conditioning and central heating in the apartment with roller shutters on windows.
The double & twin bedrooms sleep four with a comfortable sofa bed to add another two guests. There are two bathrooms, one en suite. The lounge/diner has two large sofas plus Satellite TV & DVD player, as well as dining table & chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with ceramic hob, oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, dish washer, iron and ironing board plus plenty of useful utensils that make for a real home from home.
The whole apartment has cool marble floors. Doors lead out from the living room & double bedroom to a private sunny terrace with sea-view and table, sunshade, chairs and sun-loungers.
Further details outdoors: Set in a peaceful location with subtropical gardens, Paraiso Riviera has 3 shared swimming pools (inc. kiddies) plus sauna. The pools have sunloungers and palm shades. It's a gated development with secure access and secure underground parking with lift to the apartment. There's plenty of space for kids to have fun and there are sloped paths through most of the development with some steps. You can sunbathe by one of the pools or on the private terrace, or just sit in the shade and chill out.
Local shops and supermarkets are less than 5 mins drive away, the Miraflores golf course is closer and some glorious sandy beaches are 5 or 10 mins drive away . Three mins drive / 8 mins walk away there's tennis courts, mini golf and badminton plus a fitness studio and beauty therapy centre. Eat al fresco on the terrace or enjoy a huge range of restaurants in the area. The nearest restaurant is at the Oasis club, 200 meters away. There are some attractive small towns like La Cala & Puerto Cabopino and plenty of great food. There are so many places to visit and things to do - or you can have a quiet romantic break.

Our agent will meet and greet you with the keys and explain the air conditioning, the satellite TV or the sauna - or supply a cot, buggy or highchair (for a bit extra). Our literature lists the options available, from airport pick up to baby equipment and car hire. He lives on site and will give you any help you need. There's a guest manual in the apartment which should answer most of your questions.
Conditions
We try to be as flexible as possible. Mid-week to mid-week bookings are welcome and extra days are charged pro-rata. There is a 10% discount if you book a second or third full week. Long weekends are fine, though there is a minimum charge because of cleaning and linen costs. Last minute bookings will be organised if possible. We ask for 30% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance payable 60 days prior to departure. We also ask for an additional £75 security deposit which will be refunded as soon the property has been vacated and checked, to cover return of keys and any possible damage or small breakages. We have not had to use this in 3 years.

We try to be as flexible as possible and will book long weekends and short breaks. However we have a MINIMUM CHARGE of £175 (to cover cleaning & linen cost & our agent's fee).
