Fitted out to the highest standard it has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and the added luxury of two spacious south-facing terraces, complete with loungers, dining furniture and gas barbecue. Cala Hills 105 is the ideal place to relax and have fun.
La Cala Hills is in the peaceful Mijas Golf Valley yet ideally situated for the bright lights of Fuengirola. The seaside village of La Cala de Mijas, with its shops, restaurants and family friendly beach is even closer.
Summer holidays give you a chance to enjoy the long sunny days, chill out by the pool, visit the many beaches or take in some of the local sights. Golfers can enjoy a sundowner round of golf at reduced rates on the many nearby courses.
There is an excellent supermarket within yards of the apartment and a short drive will take you to sophisticated hypermarkets so that all tastes can be catered for. If you would rather eat out then we can also recommend our favourite restaurants. There are local Spanish restaurants nearby and cafe/bars within walking distance.
There is also a new Racquets club open offering tennis courts, gym, cafe and exercise classes.

This first floor apartment, with its cool marble floors throughout, has a lounge with dining furniture and two soft leather couches, one of which converts to a double bed enabling up to 6 guests to stay.
The Master Bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed and en-suite bathroom containing an over-bath shower, marble vanity unit, wc and bidet.
The Second Bedroom has comfortable twin beds, and is next to the second bathroom with its corner shower enclosure, basin and wc.
Each bedroom opens out onto its own large terrace and because the bedrooms are set either side of the lounge, they give a degree of privacy for friends sharing the apartment.
In the kitchen there are supplies of basic food items and detergents, which guest are free to use. There is also a selection of DVDs to watch and books to read.
Whilst we are happy to provide bed linen and towels for the apartment we ask our guests to bring beach towels with them for use at the pool and on the sunbeds.
In addition to the hot/cold air conditioning there are ceiling fans in the lounge and both bedrooms.

The Lounge opens out onto both terraces, giving plenty of out door space to enjoy and offering sun and shade at different times of the day.
The south-east terrace enjoys the morning sunshine and views of the pool, garden and mountains. For al-fresco dining there is a large dining table with six chairs, plus a gas barbecue. The south-west terrace has two sunbeds, in addition to a table and four chairs - the perfect spot for a sundowner glass of Rioja.
The large swimming pool and nearby children's pool are set in a garden filled with palm trees, orange trees and tropical flowers and with only 56 apartments in this gated development there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. There is even a racquet court for the more energetic.

The Andalucia region
The Costa del Sol (Sunshine Coast) is named because it averages over 320 days of sunshine throughout the year. No wonder it is many people's choice for summer holidays as well as winter breaks.
There is so much to do and see around La Cala Hills. The lovely white village of Mijas Pueblo is a few kilometres away, the sophisticated resorts of Puerto Banus and Marbella can be reached in 25 minutes and an hour's drive will get you to Gibraltar, where you can experience a little bit of Britain with Spanish sunshine and enjoy some duty-free shopping.
If you feel like a day away from the poolside you will find many places to visit in this region - the long, golden beaches of Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas or the award winning Marina at Benalmadena with its shops, restaurants and Sea World Aquarium. For family fun the Mijas Waterpark is a few minute's drive away and an hour's drive east will get you to Nerja where you can visit the amazing Caves of Nerja - an adventure for all age groups.
The prettiest part of Marbella is "The Old Town", where you can stroll through picturesque narrow streets. Walk through an avenue of Salvador Dali sculptures, down to the beach and some of the best ice cream on the coast. Puerto Banus is worth visiting just to marvel at the fabulous boats in the marina and people watch for celebrities.
If it is a golf course you are looking for then you are spoilt for choice - Mijas, La Cala, Calanova and Santana are almost on the doorstep with over 30 more in the area.
There are many places of interest inland - places like Ronda with its famous gorge; The lakes at El Chorro in the Ardales National Park. Even Granada and the Alhambra Palace are just a two hour drive from La Cala Hills.
THE PLACE to visit whilst staying at La Cala Hills is the Pueblo Blanco (White Village) of Mijas Pueblo. Here is the prettiest town in Andalucia. It is easy to explore on foot, with charming cobbled streets at every turn, not to mention the many bars, restaurants and lovely shops.
The local market at La Cala de Mijas is a must for anyone looking for a bargain, particularly the local ceramics and leather goods. The nearby Aqua Park will keep all the family entertained and the Bioparc at Fuengirola, where you can get closer to the animals than ever before, is an experience not to be missed.
Just along the coast from La Cala de Mijas is Cabopino - a hidden gem of a gorgeous beach and pretty harbour, with a variety of cafes and restaurants.

"Can't wait to return"
We so enjoyed our winter break in this beautifully appointed apartment which more than lived up to every expectation. All the things you need to "make yourself at home" you don't hesitate to offer your guests. We were particularly impressed with the number of UK socket converters there as standard fittings. It wouldn't have occurred to us to visit Spain had we not heard glowing reports of this property and of the Mijas area. Was this a preconceived notion of the Spanish Costas following a teenage visit further north in the 60's? I don't know. But if so, then gosh, we couldn't have been more wrong! We walked the beach at Cala de Mijas marvelling at the veining of so many and varied colours in the rocks; admired the marina and its waterfront cafes in Marbella, not to mention the delights of Marbella old town; walked the bridle path along your local river Rio Fuengirola; and have totally fallen in love with Pueblo de Mijas. It's certainly whetted our appetite to see more of the area, and to return to this luxury accommodation being able, ahead of time, to visualise ourselves, glass in hand, enjoying a Sundowner on the south west terrace.

"Touch of luxury"
I can't praise this apartment enough, it's got everything you need and far surpassed my expectations. The apartment is a touch of luxury, it is really spacious which was great as there was 5 adults and 1 small child in our group, is well equipped and the decor is lovely. The pool and the grounds are beautiful, very clean and well maintained; the complex is a little sun trap and has a really friendly feel to it. The location is good and there are some great places to visit that are only a short drive away, the local shop and restaurants are very handy to for those lazy days. Everything has been well thought out, this was our first visit to Spain and all the info in the apartment was really helpful and we soon found our way around. We really enjoyed our holiday and we look forward to coming again.

"Home from Home"
We stayed at this lovely apartment for a week and found it very well equipped with every thing needed for our stay. The information pack was a real bonus for places to see and endless places to eat just what we needed for a relaxed week away. The decor was very clean and fresh and the appt had plenty of room with large balcony for BBQ,s all in all home from home

"Fabulous apartment in a great location"
Couldn't believe how big the apartment was compared to other holiday places we've stayed in. The two large balconies were great and we felt at home very quickly - everything was provided, including a dishwasher and washing machine! Pretty gardens and a huge swimming pool. Location was ideal - about half an hour from Malaga airport and very easy to find. Good local facilities including a mini supermarket, which is also a bar and cafe, on the doorstep. We found the local area easy to explore by car and enjoyed the market and beach at La Cala.
