With a less than 10 minute drive to the local village of La Cala and the nearest beach, you will also find a local market twice a week, a wide range of restaurants, bars and beach bars, supermarkets and local transport. The beach has disabled facilities including parking, toilets and showers and water access wheel chairs along with helpers. There are changing facilities and lifeguards from 10am til 7pm.
La Cala is situated between the infamous towns of Marbella/ Puerto Banus and Fuengirola which provide a large range of shops, shopping centers, nightlife, restaurants, and children’s activities such as Water Park, zoos, boat trips, bowling, Funny beach (karting) and parks. Sports facilities are available such as snorkeling, paragliding, sailing and parasailing.
From Fuengirola there are trains every half hour into the main city of Malaga with its Picasso museum, cathedral, beautiful shops, long sandy beaches, port and airport.

The Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa del Golf with 7 courses in the Mijas area and 13 in the Marbella area.
La Cala was a small fishing village which has grown to provide a range of amenities. The local market is in the main ferria ground just outside the village every Wednesday and Saturday, but markets can also be found in Marbella on Monday and Fuengirola on Tuesday and Calypso/Calahonda and Fuengirola on Sunday.
La Cala has two main supermarkets, over 50 restaurants and bars, disabled facilities on the beach between July and August, and a variety of smaller shops, banks and souvenier outlets.
There is a childrens festiavl in the park in the last week of june ( usualy a wednesday and the ferria is the third week in july. Malaga has its main ferria in August
