This spacious holiday home is located in a quiet complex of only 48 apartments. The beautiful gardens contain two swimming pools, including one for small children, a stones throw across the lawn from the terrace. With easy access to Fuengirola, 5km in one direction, and the lovely beach resort of La Cala, 7-8 minutes drive in the other direction, there is plenty to do within easy reach. Mijas Golf and La Cala Golf are only a couple of minutes drive. It makes an ideal retreat at the end of a day down on the busy coast. And the mornings are so quiet. The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
With the best year round climate in Europe, and an easy 2.5 hour flight from the UK and Ireland, the Costa del Sol continues to be the most popular destination for families looking for a break. There are plenty of beaches to choose from all along the coast. La Cala, our nearest, is also one of the nicest. Driving in the region is a pleasure, whether along the main coast road or inland to places such as Ronda, or further afield Granada or Cordoba.
Mijas Costa area
For families, the beach is probably high on the list of priorities, and our nearest, La Cala, will not disappoint. Fuengirola, down the road, has plenty to do, along with miles of sandy beaches. It is not just for tourists by any means, and is a nice town for shopping. The zoo at Fuengirola is special. It is not just any old zoo. Well worth a look, and open till 1am on some summer nights. The waterpark in Fuengirola is quite close to the zoo and both are an easy drive down from the apartment. There is a good selection of restaurants in La Cala. Further along the coast there are many beach front restaurants. We will give you details of some of the nicer sea front Spanish run places. Try Marbella sea front on a Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere.
How to get there
Malaga is the nearest airport, an easy 35km drive along the coast, taking 30-40 minutes. Flights from most UK airports. Aer Lingus and Ryanair fly from Dublin and Cork. Granada airport is around a 90 minute drive, not at all difficult, and worth considering for often lower fares. Ryanair fly here from Stansted, East Midlands, and Liverpool airports. They have been doing very good deals from Stansted lately. It is a scenic drive down, adding 105km (around 60 minutes) to the the journey over Malaga airport. We have had very good value car hire from here. Car hire at Malaga airport is straightforward, located below the arrivals area. We use Recordrentacar, finding them very reliable and reasonable. Carjet and Holidayautos are also very popular. Always book in advance. You will find some useful links on our website below.

Further details outdoors: Surrounded by exotic gardens including a number of ancient Olive trees, Palms, and a wide variety of flowering plants. The pools are surrounded by grass. Sun loungers are provided for general use around the pool. Due to the low number of apartments, crowding at the pool is not a problem. There is an allocated parking bay in the underground garage. The lift and stairs down to it are immediately outside the door to the apartment. Main gate to garage is accessed by remote control. The complex is secure, with keys needed for pedestrian gates. There is a video entry system in the apartment so the gate can be opened from inside. The large terrace is shaded from the midday sun, but nice and bright in the mornings.
Conditions
A deposit of 20% secures a booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before the start of the holday. In the case of last minute bookings, direct payment can be made to our keyholders on arrival. A security deposit of £150 is payable with the balance. This will be refunded in full providing there has been no loss of keys or remote controls, or other unreasonable damage. Small breakages such as glasses, would not be charged for. A returnable deposit of £20 is payable for use of the safe key. Smokers are requested to smoke only on the terrace, in order to keep the furnishings (especially the curtains which cost a fortune) fresh.
