MEET AND GREET SERVICE: prices quoted include a 'Meet and Greet' service. On arrival you will be met by our property manager who will provide you with keys to the apartment and pool passes and show you around the apartment. On departure, our property manager will meet you at the apartment for the return of keys and pool passes and to perform an inventory check.

Prices for a welcome pack available on request.

LOSS OF KEYS/POOL PASSES: Loss of keys or pool passes must be reported immediately to our property manager and a service charge of 30 euros plus the cost of key cutting or pass replacement will be payable by the guest for each loss.

The Andalucia region

Situated between Malaga (20 min drive) and Marbella (10 min drive), this lovely apartment is set within the popular and peaceful urbanisation of Riviera del Sol. Nearby is an extensive range of excellent restaurants, bars and shops as well as a taxi rank and bus stop. There is easy access to Marbella, Puerto Banus, Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Mijas pueblo, Cabopino, Malaga and Malaga Airport and, further afield, to the historic cities of Ronda, Grenada, Seville, Cadiz. and Gibraltar. Locally there are many wonderful beaches, markets and shopping centres and a wide range of sporting facilities including golf courses, water parks and aquatic activities

Mijas Costa

Around Albamar: Albamar is ideally situated close to a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops. The closest are to be found in Centro Comercial Las Terrazas which is home to a supermarket serving a wide range of food and drinks, a newsagents and several bars and restaurants, the best of which are Venta del Golf (standard Spanish restaurant, good quality and reasonable prices), La Pizzeria (excellent pizzas and pasta, always very busy), Sol y Sombre (excellent Spanish snack bar, cheap, good food, very friendly staff) and Rincon de la Boca (cheap and cheerful Argentinian food). There is also an internet café (Connect).

Around Riviera del Sol: In Riviera del Sol itself you will find even more amenities including Centro Comercial Plaza with supermarket, excellent café, bank, bureau de change and a few other shops. Above Plaza is a fabulous Italian Restaurant which does flamenco twice a week (you will need to book). Also in Riviera are:

Max Beach – very popular bar/restaurant on the beach-side of the main road, this is one of the best places on the coast, a bit pricey but worth it for the way it is designed with a series of wooden decks overlooking the sea.

El Oceano – very elegant and highly recommended hotel/restaurant between Riviera and La Cala – walkable from the apartment.

Antonio’s – a seafood restaurant between Max Beach and El Oceano, fantastic food right on the shoreline

In Calahonda there are many restaurants and bars including the excellent Bistro (Swiss food).

In Torreneuva, there are several excellent chiringitos on the beach and, just off the beautiful beaches, you will find Los Llaves, a lovely rustic style spanish restaurant

Further afield: In nearby La Cala de Mijas, which has a very Spanish pueblo feel to it, there are plenty of ventas on the main street and side streets which offer excellent food at very reasonable prices. The seafront places tend to be a bit more expensive but are still very good. Also in La Cala is Mijas Playa, a very good restaurant serving international cuisine. Walking around the village you will come across many more cafes, bars and restaurants of all nationalities. There is also a full range of shops in La Cala and, on Wednesday and Saturday, there is a big market (from 10am to 2pm) which is well worth a visit.

Further afield there is much to do in Fuengirola, Marbella, Mijas Pueblo, Purto Banus and Cabopino. All can be reached by local bus services or taxi. Bus service 220 runs between Marbella and Fuengirola and the buses are 2 an hour from Riviera in both directions. From Fuengirola, you can also get a train to Benalmadena, Torremolinos or Malaga.

"little piece of heaven"

Had a fabulous week at this lovely apartment.went end of april and weather was fabulous 28 degrees. The owners were so helpfull and gave us list of places to visit and things to do which was very hand… More

"Perfect Relaxing Holiday"

The entire family loves this apartment,the moment we arrive we start to chill out and relax and we love that view across the Med from the spacious balcony

The apartment has home from home comforts and 3 toilets which helps when you have 2 daughters!

The 3 pools are spacious and never busy and the pool bar is very reasonably priced for drinks and snacks,we usually spend one day at el bomba beach which was only a 5 min drive on the Fuengirola road and the next day by the pool.

Just 5 mins walk uphill from the apartment there are various restaurants all reasonably priced,our favourite was the Italian where a meal plus drinks can be got for 50 euro,the food is excellent.

The apartment is perfect if you want total relaxation and is ideal for exploring the region further with the likes of Ronda,Cordoba and Gibralter only 1 to 2 hours away whilst Malaga is only just over 30 mins and definitely worth a day trip.

For food and drink supplies go to the Mercadona supermarket which is 5 mins up the Marbella road

"Great place with great views - our home from home on the Costa!"

We spent a lovely week at Albamar at the beginning of September. From the moment we arrived the apartment was welcoming and comfortable and very soon started to feel a home from home (with better weather of course!). The spacious balcony was well used for meals, enjoying the early morning sun and again in the warm evening air admiring the fantastic view, whilst sipping a glass of chilled Spanish sparkly.
The pool was great, clean, good sized and very popular with my 5 year old, as was the nearby beach, where we found a chiringitos serving the best Gambas pil pil we'd ever had. The apartment proved to be a great location for days out (we picked up a car at the airport), both along the coast to local markets, as well as up into the mountains to Ronda and Mijas pueblo where we managed to time it perfectly for the fiestas in both. It was great fun seeing all the ladies in their beautiful flamenco dresses and the whole town coming alive - not to mention the endless supply of great tapas. I'd thoroughly recommend Albamar as a holiday home and hope to return sooner rather than later.

The apartment was fantastic and really set our holiday up Fantastic views of the sea and beyond. It had everything we needed and this is the only time we have rented an apartment when this has been the case. Certainly great value for money and a great location.

Thanks again Charles you were a great help with all we needed and all the information provided showing us were to eat and the beaches to go.

"Perfect holiday home"

We have just returned from a excellent holiday at this lovely apartment. We were a party of six (3 adults+3 children) and felt at home from the moment we arrived. The apartment has everything you could need for your stay. The views are fantastic and the surrounding gardens beautiful. The pools were quiet and ideal for the children to play and adults to relax. In the surrounding area there is supermarkets,restaurants and the children enjoyed the nearby internet cafe. We managed to travel about on the excellent and reasonably price local bus service. From the moment we made the enquiry about the apartment the owner was so helpful and provided us we so much helpful information. We would love to return again and would certainly recommend this apartment .

"Hidden Gem In The Costa"

My children shrieked with joy when they saw the spiral staircase leading to their bedroom,what a great den!
The view from the balcony was stunning ,every morning we enjoyed our coffee looking across the sparkling Med.
The apartment was very comfortable and i got high 5s from the kids for the bonus of being able to watch their favourite BBC programmes on the Freesat(also watched Andy Murray at Wimbledon...better luck next year Andy!)
The balcony area had 2 areas,a lounge area and a table area which we used occasionally to enjoy meals alfresco...nice!
The pool areas were fantastic and the water was good quality and considering it was July there was plenty of space for the family plus a very reasonably priced pool bar(small beer 1 euro)
If beach is your preferance there are plenty of options in the immediate area and their not as congested as most beaches in the Costa
There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment,our favourite was La Plazza
Hire a car as Malaga airport is one of the cheapest places in Europe for deals,a basic car can be obtained for as little as £11 per day and gives you the option to venture to Gibralter(1 hour),Nerja(1.5 hrs) or Grenada(2 hrs)
Take the kids to Gibraltor to ride the cable car and visit the notorious apes(they stole my muffin from my rucksack! still laughing about it!)
To summarise...stay at Albamar,it ticks all the boxes,you will not be disappointed and the kids will love it

"Dream Holiday in the Riviera!"

Myself and my family had an absolute fantastic holiday at Albamar! The owner could not do enough for us and sent us so much valuable information about the area. The apartment was in immaculate condition and a home away from home! We really enjoyed the spacious balcony and the beautiful views of the sea. Everything was in walking distance so we didn't need to rent a car. Good choice of supermarkets, restaurants, bars, beaches, public transport closeby. Pools were great and good pool bar/restaurant which worked great after long day at beach with kids! We would definitely hope to return and would highly recommend this apartment.

"Nice relaxing time away, with great food and with everything within your reach"

Everything was really lovely about the time we spent away in this location and in the apartment. The apartment was a good size, extremely homely and had all you need for a break away! The main points that really do make the apartment special is the location and whats around it. Swimming pools close by, beach within 5 minutes walk, a great italian down the hill and the most amazing hotel complex down the road which we went too because the food and atmosphere was lovely. The apartment was in such a great location, reasonably priced, so close to the airport, there were no issues and no reasons to moan- which is all you can ask for from a holiday! It really was 4 days full of relaxation, lovely food and drink and the desire to stay there forever!!

"Stunning Apartment"

Once again we have had a wonderful holiday at this beautiful apartment. It is ideally situated on a private complex with landscaped gardens and the choice of 3 swimming pools. It comfortably sleeps 6 people, as you have the extra room in the attico above, which has it's own bathroom with shower. The third bathroom downstairs is great when everyone needs to get ready at the same time. We always hire a car, but within walking distance there is a local supermarket and restaurants and you can walk to the local beach in 10 minutes. The bus service is also excellent and very reasonable for places like Fuengirola and Marbella. We particularly enjoy our relaxing evenings on the Terrace which has a stunning view of the sea and the landscaped gardens. We would highly recommend this property for a family holiday and return year after year.

"Great family apartment"

Our family stayed at this apartment in July 2010 and absolutely loved it!

Our two daughters, aged 11 and 6, particularly loved the pool areas, of which there were 3 to choose from and were completely private to residents. Most days there were only handful of people at the pool, despite being the height of summer.

The apartment had a large converted en suite attic, which was the equivalent of two bedrooms and was large enough for all four of us to sleep in comfortably.

Dinner on the balcony every night overlooking the sea and the beautiful gardens of the complex was fantastic. We ventured into the town a couple of nights too, which was less than 10 minutes walk away. There are a handful of nice waterfront restaurants, bars and shops in the town. There is also a supermarket and a couple of restaurants directly adjacent to the complex.

The apartment had plenty of amenities, including fully equipped kitchen, lounge with TV and three bathrooms. We hope to return to this apartment in the not too distant future and would recommend to anyone.
