The nearest towns are Calahonda and La Cala de Mijas, both within 1km of Rocas Del Mar on each side of Riviera del Sol. Rocas del Mar is 10km west of Fuengirola and 15km east of Marbella. Easily accessible by car or by public transport direct from Malaga airport. Secure gated development with large car park.
Ideal for families seeking relaxation in a peaceful setting or a perfect base for golfers. The balcony boasts stunning uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean across to Gibraltar and the African coast on a clear day.
Walk straight down onto the sandy beach direct from the resort for an early morning stroll or chill out on the private balcony reading a book as you listen to the hypnotic sound of the waves lapping after a round of golf or a swim with kids. Quiet and peaceful, yet only 15 minutes from the bustle of Marbella or Fuengirola, the resort has everything you need within short walking distance with a wide choice of restaurants/ supermarkets. A car is not essential. Book excursions direct from the on site office or jump on a bus for some serious shopping or nightlife in Marbella/Fuengirola. Popular excursions include aquaparks for the kids or Gibraltar, Ronda and Granada for the more adventurous.
Located in a gated resort with secure parking and direct steps onto the sandy beach, facilities available include the popular on-site Garden bar/restaurant right on the beachfront, 2 swimming pools, sunbeds, tennis court. There are over 20 golf courses nearby including Miraflores on your doorstop. There is a large choice of bars and restaurants within 200 metres of resort. Riviera del Sol has a small shopping centre with 2 supermarkets, pharmacy, internet cafe, medical centre, currency exchange and Barclays Bank.
The apartment is partially air conditioned and tastefully furnished with a lounge/dining area, two bedrooms (one double/one twin) and a bathroom with shower. Kitchen is fully equipped with hob/oven, microwave, washing machine and large fridge freezer. The large balcony is accessed from lounge and is furnished for relaxation or al fresco dining. A safety box is provided for your valuables. DVD and Satellite TV in your own apartment with around 100 channels including all UK Freeview channels.

Conditions
A deposit of 30% is required to reserve the apartment with the balance payable in full 2 months before date of arrival along with a refundable breakages deposit of £100 which will be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure (subject to property inspection and return of keys).
A full information pack will be issued to guests on payment of full balance and breakages deposit.
Keys will be posted to guests in advance unless the booking is made at the last minute when arrangements will be made for you to collect keys from local management company representative in Spain. On return home keys should be returned without delay to the owner at UK address provided to allow release of breakages deposit.

Costa del Sol has a unique climate with an average of 327 days of sunshine every year and an average temperature year round of 21 degrees. The landscape is varied with mountains sloping down to the sea.
Riviera del Sol is located between Fuengirola and Marbella, 30km from the regional capital Malaga. Its beaches are safe and clean. Take a short drive into the hills to explore and you will find picturesque whitewashed Spanish villages with cobbled streets such as Mijas (1km).
The region is renowned for the quality of its golf courses with over 50 golf courses, 20 of which are within a 20 minute drive from the resort. Miraflores golf course is on your doorstop.
For adventure-seeking families, you could visit a Crocodile Park in Torremolinos, the Mijas Park waterpark in Fuengirola, or TivoliWorld theme park or SeaLife (both in Benalmadena).
For serious shoppers, visit the large shopping malls at La Canadas in Marbella or Miramar in Fuengirola. In La Canadas, the kids can play tenpin bowling while you shop.
Or further afield, visit Gibralter (45 minutes) or the historical cities of Ronda, Jerez or Granada (to see the Alhambra Palace) (all within 2 hours). You can even take a ferry for a day trip to Tangier.

eg Relax in George's bar for a drink before dining in Riviera Bar and Grill.
Visit the local street markets in nearby La Cala on Wednesday/Saturday mornings (5 minutes) or Fuengirola on Sunday mornings (10 minutes).
Don't miss the nearby port of Cabopino (5 minutes) which has been described as a mini-Puerto Banus with
its expensive yachts and trendy restaurants and shops.
Or jump on the frequent local bus 220 for a short trip to Marbella or Fuengirola for around 1 euro. Or use the taxi stand in Riviera opposite supermarket where taxis are always available and relatively reasonable in price.
Or try the Aztec Country Club (5 minutes walk) for its tennis/badminton, gymnasium, beauty therapy and crazy golf.
For watersports and parasailing visit nearby La Cala beach (5 minutes).
For nightlife, don't miss Puerto Banus (25 minutes) or Marbella (15 minutes) or Fuengirola (10 minutes).
Or if you fancy a wager on a horse, why not try out the new 5,000 seater Hippodromo racecourse for floodlit evening entertainment (10 minutes drive) located between La Cala and Fuengirola.

We were looking for an independent holiday, with some local support and some insider knowledge. The apartment location and the owner's professionalism made this beachfront Rocas del Mar Apartment the perfect choice. From quick and efficient booking arrangements to onsite restaurant and local information sent before we departed we were well set up to spend the rest of our holiday relaxing and exploring. The apartment was very clean, perfectly equipped and well laid out, with a great view out to sea and up and down the coast. The pool was quiet and the we enjoyed the afternoon sun as the kids enjoyed the water. This is a lovely part of Spain and we made the most of the mountains and the coast. Lots of lovely villages to visit, markets and restaurants. The weather was great for Oct and glad we only had a 3 hour flight from Edin to find some "winter" sun. We hired a car at Malaga airport and although not really required as a regular bus service runs by the appartments, it was just as affordable as 2 taxis to and from the airport. There were 2 supermarkets in Riviera Del Sol and restaurants, our favourite was Mamma Nostras all only a short walk. Everyone we met were very helpful and even let us try out our Spanish which the kids loved. We had lunch everyday at the Garden Bar where the staff were very very helpful and we used the free wifi which was fantastic to check out other local things going on. We would definately go back to this appartment again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an independent break away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger resorts. |

The owner was on the ball - communications were extremely prompt and arrangements well executed. The apt was very easy to find, thanks to the clear directions provided by the owner. The apt itself was clean and tidy and roomy enough for a family of four. All the essential hardware that a guest would require to run a home were provided. When at home, day or night, the balcony was THE place to be - a really great sea-view complete with the sound of the waves - magical. The complex was extremely well maintained. The pools were very clean and looked inviting but alas the water was not yet warm enough to take the plunge. The on-site restaurant served-up excellent, great value food that could be eaten at tables in the garden overlooking the sea. A stairway from the garden leads directly to the beach - great place for a stroll. The restaurant staff were always very helpful and attentive. Don't miss the chance to dine here. You can also buy your wi-fi access card here too. There are also many other restaurants and several supermarkets within a comfortable 5-10 min walking range. Recommended day trips out by car are to Gibraltar [Approx 1 hour 30 mins away] and Granada [Approx 2 hours away] to visit the Alhambra. Would have really liked to have made it to North Africa - another time maybe! |

The property's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the advertiser's discretion.
No fixed changeover day although we prefer Saturdays in the peak summer period.
Preferred payment method is by bank transfer to UK bank account for pounds sterling. We will also accept payment in Euros by bank transfer to a Spanish bank account. Security deposit £100 will be refunded after return of keys to owner. 30% deposit to reserve with balance due 2 months before arrival.
Pricing is inclusive of cleaning charge at beginning and end of stay and is based on keys being posted to the guest in advance. For last minute bookings it is based on the guest collecting keys from on-site management company office during normal office hours. An additional charge will be payable directly to management company to meet guest at resort with keys outwith business hours.
Party size may be increased to 5 for additional charge of £25 per week. A fold down bed will be provided for fifth person. A cot and high chair can be provided for an additional small charge of around 30 Euros, payable locally direct to local representative.
Internet service is available in the apartment at a small extra cost payable locally direct to Rocas Del Mar on site office. Free wi-fi is available on-site in the Garden Bar.
