Our stunning ground floor apartment is situated on the highly acclaimed La Cala HIlls development located in the foothills of the Sierra di Mijas within Golf Valley. Less than ten minutes by car is the pretty seaside town of La Cala which boasts a Blue Flag Beach Award which means it is safe and clean and has many water sports and activities to suit every taste. There is a terrific choice of restaurants, bars and shops in La Cala and the large open air market on Wednesday and Saturday is a must for those looking for a bargain. Further up the coast towards Malaga and just 5km from the apartment is the larger resort of Fuengirola. The beaches In Fuengirola are impressive and spread the whole length of the resort apart from the central marina area from where you can take part in a selection of watersports. Surprisingly in such a tourist centre you'll still see fishermen out on their small trawlers each morning catching your evening meal should you frequent one of Fuengirola's seafood restaurants where the morning's catch becomes the evening speciality.
The apartment is within one mile of La Cala Golf , Mijas Golf Club(36 holes ) and Santana Golf Club making it an ideal base for golfers as well as families and couples. There are also over 56 Golf courses to choose from within a 10 mile radius .
The apartment has been built to a luxury specification within a secure electronically controlled gated community. The accommodation provides a large well designed open plan lounge and dining area furnished with a sumptious four seater sofa and 'lazyboy' armchair and footstool, sideboard, coffee table, soft lighting,
widescreen TV/ DVD cabinet with satellite transmission. There is also FREE WIFI internet and Sky TV including Sky Sports. There is also a portable radio CD player
There is a Danish designed fully-fitted kitchen fitted with granite worktops and equipped with intergral dishwasher, fridge-freezer , ceramic hob, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. Leading from the kitchen is
a separate laundry area with washing machine, tumble drier , clothers dryer and ironing facilities.
The modern dining area has seating for 6 persons. There are double sliding patio doors leading from the lounge area to the exceptionally large fully lit terrace furnished with an extendable hardwood table with six chairs and hardwod bench. Trailing flowering plants are a decorative feature.
The main bedroom with luxury en-suite bathroom has extensive fitted wardrobes, with super king sized bed, side tables and chest of drawers. Sliding patio doors open onto the sunny south facing terrace.
The second bedrom has a modern double bed, side tables and large fitted wardrobes and is located next to the second shower room. There is also a scandinavian fully sprung folding bed available.
The furnishings and fittings are of a very high standard. Designer tableware , cookware, textiles and decorations are the details that make this apartment so impressive. The luxury bathroom and shower room both have large illuminated mirrors.
For security this is a gated development with private parking.

The huge south facing terrace enjoys the sun from early morning as well as providing welcome shade in the late afternoon. There is an extendable hardwod table with 6 chairs for dining at lunchtime and evening plus a large wooden bench.
The extensive landscaped gardens and swimming pool which enjoy full sunshine from sunrise to sunset are attractively lit in the evening.
Shower and toliet facilities within the pool area. There is also a paddle/ tennis court for the exclusive use of tenants.
Well stocked mini supermarket with bakery and alfresco cafe is within a hundred yards of the main gate
Restaurants, bars , dry cleaners and hairdressers are all within walking distance
Visit Sir Alan Sugar's Byblos Hotel just down the road from the apartment for world class dining
Our English speaking agent is available 24 hours a day should there be the need .
Included in the price is cleaning prior to arrival and after leaving. Towels and linen provided. Extra cleaning services available on request .
For consideration of all our clients smoking is not allowed inside the apartment.
This apartment is suitable for children but all children must be supervised at all times both in the apartment and gardens.
A deposit of 30% is required on booking and the balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. Bookings are made subject to our terms and conditions which are available upon request .
A refundable security deposit is payable with the holiday balance. This will be returned within two weeks of return of the apartment keys to us providing our agent has found everything to be in order after checking the apartment inventory and satisfactory property inspection
Remember to apply for your new EHIC card (replaces the old E111) available free on line at www.ehic.org.uk or from the post office + travel insurance.
Any accident of whatever nature that occurs within the booked accommodation for whatever reason is the responsibility of the respective client, not the owner.
If the booking is cancelled then the following charges apply.

2 weeks: deposit plus 60%
1 week : deposit plus 80%

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa del Sol stretches along just over 150 kilometres of Málaga province and is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations. With over three hundred days of sunshine each year this region benefits from exceptionally good Mediterranean weather , with average temperatures exceeding 25 degrees and winter temperatures around 18 degrees. The coastline, full of natural splendour and numerous ' Blue Flag 'beaches range from huge expanses of golden sand to hidden coves with secluded beaches.
There are great possibilities on the Costa del Sol for most different sports from Skiing in the Sierra Nevada to surfing in Tarifa providing ideal conditions as nowhere else in Europe.
Andalucia has a rich history, and away from the coast there are numerous excursions into the real Spain with the cities of Ronda, Seville, Cordoba and Granada all accessible for day tours. For the more adventurous, a 15km trip across the Straits of Gibraltar to visit Tangier in Morocco, provides a opportunity to experience traditional Moroccan culture and cuisine.
The Mijas Costa / La Cala Hills area
La Cala Hills is situated in a peaceful yet convenient location being only 5km from the lively and vibrant coastal resort of Fuengirola and the pretty little seaside town of La Cala di Mijas. One of the jewels of the Costa del Sol, the beautiful white village of Mijas, with its narrow cobbled streets and fantastic panoramic views of the coastline is only a short drive away through breathtaking mountain scenery.
The apartment is within a mile radius of Mijas Golf Club with its two course : Los Olivas and Los Lagos, Santana Golf and La Cala Golf. There are over 50 more course to choose from in the area, many offering pay and play facilities. Golf Booking in advance can be arranged
Europes largest animal reserve, Selwo Wildlife and Adventure Park is an enjoyable day out for all the family and less than one hours drive away along the coast. There are over 2,000 species of animals in 100 hectares of land. They can be viewed both on foot and also from 4x4 vehicles which take visitors around the park.
There are other numerous family attractions within easy reach. These include aqua parks, sea life centres, water sports , go karting and cable car rides.
Every Wednesday and Saturday is Market day in La Cala di Mijas and throughout the summers months Fieras are held in all the towns including the famous nine day Malaga Feria held in the Month of August.
Malaga is the home of Picasso and a short walk from the Cathedral on Calle San Augustín is the magnificent Buenavista Palace housing the Museo Picasso
Nearby places to visit include Puerto Cabopino with its harbour and beaches. Less than 15 minutes further up the coast is Marbella and the Old town and Orange Square is well worth a visit. 5 km away from Marbella is Puerto Banus home to some of the most impressive yachts in the world. There is a wide array of bars, restaurants and expensive designer shops.
There is a horse racing stadium in the hills above Mijas Costa for those who enjoy a day out at the races

Booking was done by a friend, but the apartment was modern, clean and had everything we expected. I've been to andalucía 5 times and thus is definitely the best place I've stayed.

Glorious weather in a glorious apartment made for the best week of 2012. This apartment has access to a shared pool (which we had to ourselves the whole week!) in a closed garden area. The garden is well maintained and allows guest to enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. The apartment is spacious and has good clean facilities. We spent our mornings and evenings on the balcony which made for a perfect beginning and end to each day.

We have only on serious criticism to make: The rugs/ carpets/soft furnishings were not clean,especially the rugs/living room carpet which was really grubby and stained. Bedrooms/bathrooms/bedlinen and most towels were fine. One towel was stained with hair colouring we assumed
Kitchen etc was fine and situation exactly what we required
It is a pity that the client chose to focus on two rugs , a small one under the coffee table and a cream rug under the dining room table. The apartment has polished marble floors throughout which are maintained to a very high standard. There is no living room carpet ??? The sofa coverings are removable and dry cleaned regularly and the cushions are new. I am sorry there was a stained white towel. This should have been removed by my agent. The apartment is meticulousness cleaned before arrival and after departure.
