The villa is situated in a quite residential area and is ideal for families, within minutes from Fuengirola and La Cala. The terrace is ideal for sun worshipers or sit in the shade of the toldo with a nice glass of Spanish wine. The beach is just 5 minutes walk away.

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa del Sol is well known for its long sunny days and noumous sandy beaches.There are many activities in the area with a excellent choice of golf courses, theme parks, water sports, shopping centres, and a wide choice of bars and restaurants.
The Mijas Costa / El Faro de Calaburras area
El Faro is a Spanish area beside the sea. There are many facilities including swimming pools, golf clubs, bowls club to mention a few. For those who only want to rent a car for a day or two there is a local car rental. The many bars and restaurants means not having to eat in the same establishment more than once during your visit.
In Fuengirola (about 1.5 miles away)you will find activities to suit all ages, from long walks along the wide promenade to swimming along the wide sandy beach. Why not take the children to the Zoo There are also a variety of bars and restaurants to suit all ages. In the town of Fuengirola you will find good shopping. The famous Market is held every Tuesday and Sunday.In el Faro you will find the local supermarket and local friendly bars and restaurants within two minutes walk from the villa.There is also a public swimming pool at the top of the road.
La Cala is a small Spanish town. It also provides you with a good variety of bars and restaurants and has a lovely long sandy beach. It also holds a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays and is very popular with all nationalities. The town of LaCala is only five minutes from el Faro.

There are many flights from The UK to Malaga with BA, EasyJet or BMI. From Ireland both Aer Lingus and Ryanair have flights from Dublin, Cork or Belfast.
The villa is a 30 minute drive from Malaga airport. Car hire is available at the airport and is relatively cheap in Spain. A taxi from the airport to the villa should cost about €50. If you are not hiring a car you can get the train from the airport to Fuengirola for just €2.15 per person. The train journey takes about 40 minutes as it makes many stops. The bus station in Fuengirola is very near he train station and a bus to close to the villa will cost about €2 per person from Fuengirola, however, I suggest when you are arriving that you take a taxi from the train station to the villa which will cost about €12.00.

We stayed for 2 weeks with our 6 and 8 year old children. We found the villa clean and spacious - it has excellent facilities including dishwasher, tv and washing machine. Our children loved having the garden to play in and enjoyed the pool. Dave who looks after the villa came to check we were ok and was really helpful - it's nice to know you have someone on hand to offer help should you need it. There is a lovely view of the sea from the pool, and our children loved watching the boats go past each day. The bus service to Fuengirola and La Cala is frequent and reliable - we enjoyed La Cala's restaurants and found the beach there was quieter than Fuengirola. Gerry was so helpful and answered all our questions before we went, we would not hesitate to book again - thank you for a lovely holiday. |

The directions given for the Villa were not the best & on finding the area we were also not told that the villa we were staying in was on the ground floor of a house that had obviously been split.... more |
