About the home

Mijas Costa nestles between Fuengirola and Marbella and so is perfect for visits to; 3 beautiful marinas; four golf courses; hipodromo (horse racing); cable ski; Tivoli World amusement park; Selwo; AquaPark and Fuengirola Castle and zoo. All within a radius of 25 km. Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla and Gibraltar are between 1-2 hours drive away as is the ski resort of Sierra Nevada.

Locally we have our own beach plus other beautiful beaches nearby. Huge array of International restaurants (Indian, Chinese, Thai, Spanish, Japanese and English) are nearby. Our villa garden apartment is therefore ideal for all year around holidays.

All our visitors receive a welcome pack of wine,beers ,orange juice, water and milk.Tea and coffee
are also provided along with bread and fruit and cooking oil. Two fans,one free standing,the other a table model are provided for our guests, and gas bottles for the cooker and heater are also provided along with kitchen rolls and toilet paper.

The garden apartment boasts 2 lovely terraces, 1 enclosed with dining table, 4 chairs and a sofa. And a sun- terrace with 4 sun lounges both with sea views. On the villas main terrace is a barbecue area which can be used by our guests. There is a parking space for 1 car and on road parking for other cars. The community swimming pool is shared by 17 houses of which 6 are permanent residencies, therefore the pool is basically a private one.

Further details

When holidaying abroad things can go wrong, not only with equipment in the villa apartment but with theft, accidents and illness. Because we live in the villa above we are available 24 hours a day to give help and advice. Many other holiday homes do not have this facility.

Conditions

The cost of renting our villa apartment is 295 english pounds from October to May and 375 english pounds June, July, August and September(or Euro equivalent) Fully inclusive. 20% deposit is required when making the initial booking. The balance to be paid not later than 8 weeks before departure date.

The Costa del Sol region

Our villa garden apartment is situated on the Costa del Sol, at Mijas Costa, between Fuengirola and Marbella on a large well kept urbanization called El Faro (The lighthouse.) It has it's own beach and the nearby golf courses of El Chaparral , La Cala , Miraflores and Mijas .

Miramar shopping Mall and Dunnes store are nearby ,as are riding stables and boat trips to Benalmadena Marina.Puerto Banus and Marbella are just a short drive away as are the country pueblos of Coin and Alhaurin El Grandeand the charming white pueblo ,Mijas in the nearby mountains.

The Mijas Costa / El Faro de Calaburras area

It is a major tourist area providing activities for all ages and tastes from water sports and fishing trips to live music venues and discos. In land there's horse riding, quad riding and jeep safaris. Also day trips to visit nearby white villages and Malaga City itself, the home of Pablo Picasso, which is full of museums, Roman remains and Amphitheatres as well as the famous Malaga Football Club.

There are also huge shopping centres nearby such as Eroski, La Cañada, and the famous store El Corte Ingles.Dolphin trips and visits to Morrocco ,North Africa ,can be booked nearby.Fairs occur every week in villages throughout the region-amusement rides and flamenco dancing and horsemanship.

Easy-jet, jet2u, Ryanair, or any schedule airline to Malaga International Airport. Take taxi from airport to El Faro aprox. 20 mins or take the local train from the airport to Fuengirola aprox every half hour and then taxi or local bus to El Faro. Local buses run every hour from and to El Faro from Fuengirola. Portillo buses run every half hour from Fuengirola to Marbella/Malaga via El Faro. If you wish to hire a car then Golf Service Rent A Car, would be ideal.

“A lovely villa in a lovely location!” My family and I have been visiting this same villa for the past 12 years. The villa is spotlessly clean and very well looked after by the owners. It benefits from a large balcony/terrace which provides excellent access for sunbathing overlooking the pool. The pool and garden area is also excellently maintained and clean and is often vacant throughout the day resulting in often having the pool to yourself. The villa is located in an excellent position with Fuengirola and La Cala both within a 5 minute drive. A supermarket, restaurants and small beach are all just a few minutes walk away. A hire car is ideal in order to visit the many nearby towns including Mijas, Benalmadena and Marbella. These are all within a 20 minutes drive away.

“A relaxing place where you will always want to go back!” We stay at Lola and Anthony apartment in this summer. We feel great, villa is close to the beach, the apartment is equipped with everything you need, pool and garden are just like the pictures. We stay a lot in the pool area, was relaxing I would recommend anyone this small corner of Spain, which surely recharge you. The owners are 5 stars, very nice people.
