About the home

A large 3 Bedroom front line golf semi-detached house with stunning views across the course down the mountain to the sea. It is fully equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings including WiFi, Sky Digital, large communal pool less than 2 minutes from front door, large secure underground garage with door and fully alarmed. Terraces overlooking pool to one side and unobstructed at the front down the mountain to coast. All costs included in the rental amount and in addition welcome packs can be arranged. The resort is the largest Golf Complex in Spain hosting many prestigious events. There is a new luxury Spa and restaurants open at the 5 star hotel and club house. It is only a 10 minute drive down to the beach at La Cala and only another 20 minutes to Marbella. A beautiful resort to stay on, stunning views, peaceful but only a very short drive to the hullabaloo of the lively resort towns of the Costa del Sol.

We are offering one or two week breaks at La Cala Golf Resort or 3 night short breaks. Stays can start and finish mid-week if preferred and subject to availability.

This house is ideally suited to golfers who are looking for a fabulous golf break but with the advantage of having a self catering option. It is not suited to families with children under 5 however older children will still enjoy the large pool and for non-golfers in the party there is a wonderful Spa at the resort. It is a quiet urbanisation and a car is essential to get to the coast although the hotel and golf club house is only a 10 minute walk away. There are tennis courts and a gym which can be booked through the Golf club house in addition an Equestrian centre is approx 5km away, Mijas Water Park 20 minutes drive and the Myramar Mall also 20 minutes drive.

Further details outdoors:
Small private garden overlooking the golf course, with a large terrace with dining table for 6 and easy chairs for 4 with coffee table. Lovely to relax with a glass of wine in the evenings before heading off to the plentiful nearby restaurants either on resort or on the coast. The hill top village of Mijas can be seen across the mountain and is a beautiful place to visit, famous for its donkey taxis! The upstairs terraces both have furniture for enjoying the sunshine and views.

An English speaking representative will provide a meet and greet service and answer any questions that you may have. The house has an instruction file and inventory which can be viewed on arrival.
Whilst we understand that breakages can sometimes occur, major damage is charged for and deducted from the deposit.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol, famous for its year round sunshine and temperate winter climate offers lots to do for all ages. In addition to the abundance of golf courses, there are also numerous restaurants, beaches, water parks, night life, shopping and cinemas (with English speaking films) all within easy reach of La Cala Golf Resort. However, for those who simply want to sample the real spain, look no further than the village of Istan in the hills above Marbella, or further afield to Rhonda which is steeped in history. Granada and the Alhambra is a longer drive but well worth the visit. More local to the resort but equally worth a visit is Mijas `pueblo, a famous white village nestling in the mountains.

The Mijas Costa / La Cala Golf Resort area

La Cala Town which in the summer months has market stalls along the promenade in the evening.
There is a market at La Cala each Wednesday and Saturday morning with both fresh produce and also locally produced crafts available at reasonable prices.

Mijas water park with its live shows is a must for children as is a trip up the mountain cable car to see a fabulous birds of prey display. Tivoli World is a theme part suitable for all ages and open early evening until late in the summer months. For those who need to get their British groceries, there is an Iceland/Waitrose located near to the myramar shopping mall and by the new 18 hole crazy golf! There is lots to do for the active and adventurous, including four wheel drive safaris and quad bike riding. All this and more is on offer only a short drive from the resort.

Fly to Malaga International. Follow A7 towards CADIZ, pass by Fuengirola, exit at La Cala (approx 25 mins from airport) and take left off slip road travelling away from coast up to resort. At 2nd mini roundabout bear right and go up hill towards La Cala Golf Resort. You will pass a restaurant near to the resort called El Jinete on the right. Continue to drive up to the resort. Pass the La Cala 5 Star Hotel on left, then tennis courts and golf club house all on the left. Take a sharp right up the hill shortly after club house and you will pass villa on either side of the road. Monte Alto is located on the left, set back from the road overlooking the golf course. Take the first left through the gates to gain access to the urbanisation.(it is approx 10 minutes from exit off A7 to house)
