Approached through an archway into a mews style courtyard, 8 Angel Yard is a spacious and very well presented first floor apartment set in a private gated development. The apartment is entered through a small hallway that leads into a tasteful and well appointed open plan living/dining room. There are two large comfortable sofas, a flat screen TV and WiFi internet access. The large, stylish kitchen contains a small breakfast table and chairs. It is fully equipped with quality appliances including microwave oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, to make a perfect home from home stay.
The larger of the two bedrooms has views over the courtyard and the hills beyond. It boasts a large walk in wardrobe and an elegant en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has two single beds and its own en-suite shower/ bathroom, making the apartment a charming base for guests wishing to explore this beautiful area.
Angel Yard is a private gated community with beautifully maintained gardens. There is garden furniture so guests can enjoy a meal or drink with the dramatic backdrop of Cowdray ruins, which stand just beyond the boundary. The apartment has a secure parking space for one car and a timber framed bicycle shed, should guests wish to bring their own cycles to explore the area.

The West Sussex region
This area enjoys some of the best levels of sunshine in Southern England. It also boasts numerous historical places of interest, such as the Roman Palace at Fishhbourne, the Weald & Downland Open Air Musueum. Goodwood House and Stansted Park are also fascinating places to visit, as is Arundel Castle. Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth has some of the best panoramic views in the south.
Midhurst has been voted the most popular place in Britain to live- some accolade! It is full of charming cobbled streets and quirky shops, as well as a variety of interesting and varied period properties. The town is steeped in history and many of the properties, as well as the surrounding land, are owned by the Cowdray Estate. Cottages owned by the estate are noticeable from their distinctive yellow painted woodwork and doors. There is a good mixture of shops and restaurants in the town, all of which are within walking distance. Angel's Yard itself is set in a secure gated environment, tucked away behind the Angel Hotel. If guests do not wish to cook their own meals, they can be in the hotel's restaurant in a matter of 30 seconds!
There are beautiful scenic walks in and around the town and also in the nearby grounds of Cowdray ruins. The rolling South Downs with the South Downs Way are easily reached from the villages of Heyshott and Cocking, just two miles away. Midhurst is proud of its historic links but the area also has a host of cultural and sporting amenities to offer guests. These range from Chichester's Festival Theatre and Petworth's antique shops to numerous quality golf courses within easy reach of Midhurst; horse racing at Goodwood; polo at Cowdray Park; Goodwood's Festival of Speed and Revival Festival. Chichester is about 11 miles away and Brighton and Portsmouth both about an hour’s drive. The many water sports the coast has to offer are about 45 minutes away. There are mainline stations to London from both Haslemere (7 miles) and Chichester (11 miles).

"Cosy, central hideaway"
We stayed at Angel Yard for a weekend with friends. The location of the apartment is ideal - a moment's walk from the pubs, shops and restaurants of Midhurst. The apartment itself is well appointed with plenty of space for 4 adults and a good sized kitchen. The bathrooms were clean and pleasant and the beds really comfortable. Our only criticism would be the lack of mirrors in the bedrooms and lack of storage space in the twin bedroom.
