We had wonderful Spring weather making the walks around Middleham very enjoyable.Recommend walking on the gallops and a walk to the Cover Bridge Inn .Chilly in the evening so loved the log fire. .Also liked the Richard the Third pub for early evening drinks.Hopefully we will visit this cottage again.

"A gem in the Beautiful Dales"

A wren-sized cottage with a flock of excellent characteristics. A delightful, well-appointed home-from-home place to stay. High quality kitchen and bathroom, cosy living room, and comfortable bedroom make for a wonderful break.

"Beautiful relaxing cottage in amazing surroundings"

We've just had a long weekend in Jenny Wren cottage and couldn't wish for anything better, the cottage had everything we could wish for. Superbly furnished and set out and was so cosy and inviting. The location was perfect for everything we wished to do, with lots of places to visit within a short drive away. Lots of walking straight from the doorway of the cottage with the promise of a drink in one of the pubs afterwards. Middleham is a lovely village and the walk to the Coverbridge Inn for chicken and ham pie is one that we would certainly recommend. Jenny Wren is perfect for a romantic break away and from getting away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and just relaxing and taking it easy, thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to have a bit of 'me' time

"Jenny Wren Cottage Middleham"

We stayed at Jenny Wren Cottage for a 3 night break in mid October 2014. We were looking for a self catering cottage in the Wensleydale area and after seeing the property on the Middleham website decided to book. The cottage is very cosy , beautifully presented and spotlessly clean with all modern facilities. The location is near to the village church and parking was available at the end of the lane very close to cottage. The property benefits from internet wireless access. The log burning fire is a nice feature and gave me more fun than watching the TV !! The proprietors' are very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this property to people wishing for a quality cottage in a picturesque village location.

"Excellent cottage in ideal location"

This is an excellent cottage for a couple - well equipped and very comfortable. Middleham is an excellent base to visit the Yorkshire Dales and boasts 4 pubs that provide food, 2 cafes and a well stocked local shop, all within very easy walking distance. It also has a considerable number of horse racing stables so thoroughbred horses are a frequent sight in the village.

"Beautiful, cosy cottage"

The Jenny Wren cottage was stunning, and wonderfully cosy. There was everything in the cottage that anyone could want - just had to add food. The really nice thing is that it was so close to Middleham Village, with just a short walk from the cottage, and we were so close to the surrounding area and open spaces of the Dales. It has certainly left lasting, wonderful memories, and wouldn't hesitate to re-book the cottage.

"Cosy cottage in beautiful setting"

Jenny Wren was a lovely cottage for our romantic anniversary break, we particularly enjoyed the wood burning stove, candles and king size bed! Alan and Angela made us feel very welcome and the extra touches such as a tea set laid out, complete with muffins, and the chocolates on the bed made it feel really special. The village was in an ideal setting for exploring the Dales, and we enjoyed a trip to Hawes and Aysgarth Falls. However, there is also plenty to do locally, with walks to the river from Middleham, and Jervaulx Abbey and Brymor ice cream farm just a short drive away. We were spoilt for choice with the four pubs in the square, but ended up in The White Swan, which serves good bistro-style food at reasonable prices if you go for the early-bird deal. We would thoroughly recommend Jenny Wren as a place for couples to stay at any time of year.
