The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
The town of Mezzegra is located in the Lombardy region in the province of Como. E 'located on Lake Como along with fractions and Bonzanigo Azzano. Today it has nearly 1,000 residents.
The name of the country could derive from the name "inter Agros" or "in the middle of the fields." Its origins are certainly old, but no archaeological discovery has been able to determine the exact birth of the country.
Mezzegra is also known because there Benito Mussolini was executed and his companion, Claretta Petacci. The patron of the municipality is Sant'Abbondio and is celebrated August 31.
