Home description

Luxury three bedroom, two bathroom duplex apartment which enjoys panoramic views of the lake and is located in a very sunny and exclusive location on the hillside in the town of Mezzegra. On the ground floor, there is a new, fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and built-in microwave, a double bedroom with king-size bed and lake views, a twin bedded room and a bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Down the spiral staircase to the lower ground floor; there is a third double bedroom bedroom with king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. There is a large outdoor shared swimming pool, open between May - Oct and large well kept gardens from where you can enjoy a spectacular views of the central lake area and towards Bellagio, often referred to as the the 'Pearl of the Lake'. The house is situated 700m above the lake which is ideal for those who want to spend a very relaxing holiday on Lake Como.
There is an elevator from the private underground parking space.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area

Lake Como offers hidden treasures just waiting for the visitor to discover them: charming corners forgotten by time, lakeside villages where nothing seems to have changed for centuries. It is steeped in history with an immense collection of churches, architectural masterpieces and works of art covering the centuries. The lake is situated in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains, and offers an extremely varied landscape, with its' shores featuring a succession of pastures, and woods as well as harsh and impressive rock formations. All this alongside elegant, lakeside villas with sub-tropical gardens, which provide a haven of peace and tranquillity and chic resorts such as Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio and Como itself.

Mezzegra area

Mezzegra is situated on the western banks of Lake Como, in the zone of central Lario known as Tremezzina. There is a weekly market in Mezzegra (Friday) and Lenno (Tuesday) where you will be able to buy fresh fish from the lake. In Mezzegra town, you will find supermarkets, the post office, bars, coffeehouses, the baker (which if you wish delivers fresh rolls to the house), can be reached in just a few minutes by foot.

Mezzegra is famous for being the scene of Duce's last hours. In Giulino, XXIV Maggio street, in front of Villa Belmonte gate, a steel cross reminds the place where Benito Mussolini and Claretta Petacci were killed and in the hamlet Bonzanigo there is the house where they spent their last night together.

Pay a visit to the church of Sant'Abbondio, dating back to the end of the 1600’s, with its elegant Baroque facade
and its precious canvases (17th and 18th century) and its most beautiful marble Baroque altars. Close to the presbytery and the sacristy are visible traces of the old Roman chapel which preceded it. In one of the two surrounding annexes of the church, plaster works are preserved attributed to Pietro Silva and frescos possibly by Fiamminghino, while in the other, which is also decorated with plaster work and prized frescos, there is a large ,decorated wooden altar dating from the 17th to 18th centuries.

Cleaning Costs

There is a final cleaning cost of €70 when staying for one week & €90 when staying for two weeks with all bed-linen & towels included. If staying for two weeks or more – the bed-linen & towels will be refreshed after each week. All utility usage such as water, electricity & gas, are included in the rental price.

Payments by Credit Card, Debit Card & Wire Transfer

There are no additional charges for credit card, debit card or bank transfer payments. To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our booking form online and pay a 30% deposit. The remaining balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
