Spend a holiday off the beaten tracks in a 1950s vintage trailer, set within the green secluded setting of a private park, next to an old périgourdine house.

The property is conveniently located in the heart of Périgord Noir, within a few miles of many renowned landmarks and listed villages such as Beynac, Castelnaud, La Roque-Gageac, Domme and Sarlat. The Vézère and Dordogne valleys roll by, with numerous beaches lining the rivers and countless castles dotting the landscape, such as Beynac, Feyrac, Milandes, Marqueyssac, Castlenaud, Lacoste...

Five acres of shaded grounds surround our two iconic vintage caravans, imported from the US and fully restored. Each of them can accommodate 2 people, meaning that only up to 4 people can be hosted at a time on the property. Trailers may be booked together or separately and are parked in their own spacious private space, offering complete privacy and a quiet atmosphere. Each one is equipped with a parasol or an awning shading an outdoor dining space.

Our hosts have access to a large chlorine-free swimming pool (7m. x 15m.) and as well a private parking space, at the entrance of the property to prevent any disturbance to our visitors.

Amenities :

*private toilets.

*small private shower (depending the model - if the caravan does not have a shower on board, our hosts will have full access to the pool-house bathroom, equipped with a shower, sink and toilets)

*kitchen complete with cooker, over, refrigerator and sink.

*dining space

*seating room

*separate bedroom.

In order to provide our hosts with maximum comfort, the caravans - originally furbished to sleep four people - will only accommodate two guests at a time. You will enjoy the space and comfort of a small condo while experiencing the fun and quaint lifestyle of retro with a twist camping. We kindly remind our guest that glamping comes with a few obvious precautions and requirements such as limited space, careful use of water resource, eco-friendly behaviour and living.

All our trailers have been furnished with unique vintage pieces.

Local activities

If you're in for an adventure, a full range of outdoors activities are available within a few miles: canoeing on the Dordogne or Vézère rivers, climbing, horseback riding, balloons rides, hiking, cycling tours, potholing, etc.

You can of course explore the numerous châteaux or sunbathe on one of the beaches along the rivers.

If you're more in a relaxing and laid-back mood, you might find yourself sunning by the chlorine-free pool (15m x 7m) or wandering the park, where you might glimpse a few deers ambling by, or listening to the quiet hooting of the howls, outside your caravan.

The Dordogne region

Home first to prehistoric man and later to the Gauls, Romans and Franks, each of whom left the stamp of their respective civilisations, Périgord is divided into two by the river Dordogne, which formed the historic frontier between France and England during the Hundred Years War and which gave its name to the Département of the Dordogne after the French Revolution. Along its banks are a thousand and one castles steeped in legend, witness to centuries of conquests and the intermixing of cultures. Today Périgord's rich and varied heritage has been faithfully preserved and is here for you to discover. Come and find a past that is still lives on in present-day Périgord, whether in its landscape fashioned by history, in its renowned culinary tradition or in the many cultural and sporting activities that will help make your visit unforgettable.

In spring, when the air is filled with the scent of fruit trees in full blossom, take a walk in the countryside and marvel at the innumerable species of orchids and other wild flowers that grow here. Summer is never too hot to enjoy a bathe in one of Périgord's lakes or ponds, or to go canoeing down shaded streams, or discover a bit of history in the refreshing cool of the region's many caves or castles!

In winter the buildings that make up Périgord's architectural heritage come out from behind their leafy hiding places: with the greatest number of historic sites in France outside Paris, the Dordogne is a tourist's paradise. And as Christmas gets closer, the local countryfolk are to be seen on the markets selling the fresh truffles, cèpes and foies gras so prized by epicures from all over the world.

Meyrals

Sarlat is one of the most attractive and alluring towns in southwestern France.

Sarlat is a medieval town that developed around a large Benedictine abbey of Carolingian origin. Because modern history has largely passed it by, Sarlat has remained preserved and one of the towns most representative of 14th century France. It owes its current status on France's Tentative List for future nomination as a UNESCO World Heritage site to the enthusiasm of writer, resistance fighter and politician André Malraux, who, as Minister of Culture (1960–1969), restored the town and many other sites of historic significance throughout France. The centre of the old town consists of impeccably restored stone buildings and is largely car-free.
