Home description
Kilbol Cottage is a 16th century property, rebuilt in part in 1996. It combines modern day facilities while still retaining the sympathy for the surrounding area. Set in tranquil four acre grounds with riverside walks as well as country walks down to the coast at Porth Luney or to the ancient fishing port of Mevagissey. about 3 miles away.
The cottage is situated within the grounds of the Kilbol Country House Hotel and directly in front of the hotel swimming pool. The cottage sleeps four in two separate ground floor bedrooms with a bathroom and a shower room. This cottage also has a sofa bed in the lounge for those who wish to sleep six. The cottage welcomes children of all ages and well-behaved dogs.

Mevagissey / St Ewe area
The name Mevagissey refers to the town of St Meva and St Issey, first recorded as a hamlet in 1313. A picturesque, unique 14th Century fishing Village located on the South Cornwall Coast at the end of a Valley close to the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.
The nearby Parish of Gorran Haven is one of the gems of South Cornwall. There are two Village beaches which are amongst the safest in the County making them ideal for the whole Family.

How to get there
Approaching Mevagissey roundabout in St Austell, on the B390 from the east. Take a left turn, B3273 towards Mevagissey. Travel for about 4.5 miles, then turn right towards Gorran Haven. Travel for 2.5 miles, turn right towards St Ewe. Pass through St Ewe and on the Kilbol Country House Hotel. Alternatively, from St Austell, follow signs to Heligan Gardens. The hotel is just 2 miles further on, through the village of St Ewe.
If you are using a Sat Nav to navigate to the Kilbol Country House Hotel, our postcode is PL26 6HA. It is advisable to follow the main roads as far as possible, rather than the shortest direct route, because the narrow countryside lanes, although beautiful, will add additional time to your journey!

Further details indoors: The two single beds are zip and link beds so the room can be adapted to a large double bed, (6ft x6ft), a twin bed or a single bed.
A dedicated Washing machine is available in the hotel laundry for the exclusive use of both cottages. Internet access, through an ethernet connection is available to cottage guests at the hotel reception
Kilbol cottage also has a wood burning stove.

The facilities include a fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Remote control colour TV and stereo system.
Kilbol cottage however is equipped with a sofa bed in the lounge and could therefore sleep up to six. If sleeping more than 4 an additional charge of £50.00 will be levied.
Further details outdoors: Kilbol has ample car parking alongside the Hotel in a car park which is illuminated at night. There is an outdoor swimming pool open from May to September, 40ft x 20ft and up to 6ft deep. The hotel has a croquet lawn. to the west of the buildings there is a 600 tree wood. the river Luney runs through the length of our land and marks our southern boundary. Kilbol has a private paved patio area in front of the building suitable for al fresco dining and on the first floor accessible directly from the lounge a small balcony.

Conditions
A deposit of one third of the total rental charge is payable on booking and the remainder of the rental is payable six weeks prior to holiday commencement date. There are no other charges for electricity, heating or hot water.
