'Tresco' is situated in the traditional fishing village of Mevagissey. Recently refurbished to a very high standard 'Tresco' makes an ideal place to stay as it is centrally located to all amenities with no hills to climb!!! Accommodation is set over three floors . On the ground floor there is a lounge and a kitchen/ diner. The first floor there is a double bedroom, bathroom, separate toilet and a second lounge ( sofa bed) which leads to an attic bedroom (low ceiling in places) which has a double and a single bed. This room has harbour views. Spacious and bright this former net loft is an attractive building with plenty of space. Parking at a local car park ( 150 metres away) is included in all weekly rates.

Mevagissey was named after two saints:- St Meva and St Issey. Once the centre of Cornwall's pilchard fishery, Mevagissey is still a working harbour with boat building dating back to 1745. Situated on the coast with views out to St Austell Bay, Meva is a wonderful place to stay. Most of the old buildings are constructed of cob and slate and are situated in the narrow streets amongst the gift shops and restaurants. Within driving distance of the Roseland Peninsula, Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan most places in Cornwall are accessible.
Mevagissey area
Local attractions with no driving needed:- The World of Model Railways, Mevagissey Museum, a recently refurbished Aquarium, Polstreth beach ( a short walk from the coastal path) and The Lost Gardens of Heligan which can be accessed by a beautiful woodland walk. The main festival is Feast week which occurs in the last week of June and the first week in July. Dates differ each year depending when the 29 th June falls. The week starts with a fish festival and continues for the next six days with local entertainment, a fun fair, floral dances and ends with a fete and a carnival with a spectacular firework display.

Mevagissey is a traditional fishing village on the south cornish coastline. Just 5 miles from St Austell, Mevagissey is an ideal base from where to explore.
