The West Country region

Cornwall's climate is a relatively warm and sunny one. Cornwall boasts numerous beaches, many of which are ideal for surfing and bathing. Cornwall offers something for everyone. The world famous Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Georgian port of Charlestown. Quaint fishing villages. Large seafaring ports and a wild windswept coastline.

Cornwall is the setting for numerous books by such authors as Rosamunde Pilcher and Daphne du Maurier.

Cornwall has fresh seafood that is readily available because of its location. Many restaurants offer cuisine from local dishes to international recipes. The port of Mevagissey is only 5 miles away from Vose Farm where you can watch the boats unload their catch and buy fresh fish.

Mevagissey

Vose Farm is ideally placed to explore Cornwall, located just outside the ancient village of Tregony (known as Gateway to the Roseland Peninsula). The Roseland Peninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty with wonderful beaches and small fishing villages. Driving to the bottom of the Peninsula, you may take a foot ferry from St Mawes to Falmouth, one of the deepest harbours in the World and home to the National Maritime Museum and numerous restaurants and bistros. The North Coast of Cornwall is only 20 miles away.

Vose Farm's nearest beach is Porthluney, an ideal beach for sunbathing, rock pooling and surfing. The beach is overlooked by Caerhays Castle.

Vose Farm itself has large areas of woodland to explore, a wild life pond with fish, birds and other residents and a dedicated picnic area.

The local pubs are less than two miles away and are both child and dog friendly. Both pubs date from the eighteenth century.
