The Harbour/water side cottage has one of the best views over the harbour/sea, with front terrace to sit and relax or rear sun drenched decked garden to take in the spectacular views. Shabby chic style, comfortable, warm and inviting home with all you need to relax and enjoy your holiday. Watch the fishermen bring in their daily catch while sitting in your room. Alfresco dining area to the front, with a rear gardem with a decking area barbecue and fire pit. Ideal for painting, bird watching or just just sunbathe on the sunlougers.
Mevagissey is an unspoit village with cobbled alleys leading to harbour, delightful fisherman cottages ideally located next to all amenities that Mevagissey offers inns, bars, restaurants and shops, beach. Watch the sunset and lighthouse in the distance, boats coming to and from harbour. A truly ideal place to watch the world go by. The house has four bedrooms four double beds,one single and travel cot, plus single folding bed. Two toilets. To access fourth bedroom you have to walk through the open plan third bedroom.
A truly beautiful place to explore nearby Eden Project, coastal walks, beaches, fish from local boats, minature railway, museum, auquarium. The house is on Polkirt Hill which has one of the best views across the harbour and sea.

The detached cottage has four bedrooms, two with king size beds. Two further bedrooms with double size beds and one single bed, a travel cot and spare folding bed. Please note access to fourth bedroom is through open plan third bedroom which located in the loft area. One bathroom with large bath over head shower and toilet and there a seperate toilet next to the bathroom.
The house boasts fantastic views from all bedrooms and alfresco seating on terrace at front of property. The house has been re- decorated has beautiful comtempory black granite tiles to the ground floor. All modern facilities. The house has an outstanding position over the harbour and sea views. There is a rear decked area which is raised and accessed by steps (Not suitable in winter months due to slippery under foot. This decked area can be chained off at the bottom of the staircase so children do not access this due to the height of the rear deck) An ideal area for barbecues, sun loungers and has a magnificent view point. Board games, books, cds, telescope , binoculars to enjoy far distant views. Large plastic boat with oars, surf boards and two wet suits with flippers, fishing rods, nets etc.

Outside Terrace area to the front with sea/harbour views, rear garden area which is decked with barbecue.
The parking is behind the property in a residential street, access to the house is via a footpath leading from the street behind the property down a hill to the house. It is best to drop off luggage on arrival and passengers and the driver to park the car. Due to the parking and the position of the house on Polkirt Hill it may not be suitable for any one with a medical condition. On arrival by car please pull car in as close to wall as possible pulling in side mirrors to enable other traffic on the hill to pass while unloading.

Welcome pack on arrival Tea,coffee, milk and a chilled bottle of wine waiting in the fridge to sip on the terrace area and watch the world go by!
Please note for elderly and infirm the house is on a hill and there are about six steps up to the property.
Please note children must be supervised at all times on the decked area. Decked area not suitable in wet conditions due to slippery under foot. Please take extra care at night due to height of deck.
Kitchen diner, living room hall area is tiled. Please take appropiate footware. Pets are welcome. However, pet hair must be removed before departure and property fully vacumed.
The house must be left clean and tidy as it was on arrival with cookware, cooker, fridge, microwave, bathroom left clean and all carpets hoovered.

Strictly no smoking except on the balcony.
Refundable breakages deposit of £ 100 required on booking to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
25% of rental fee deposit to secure booking, full amount due 6 weeks before holiday starts.
Holiday insurance should be set up by the persons booking the holiday.

Mild climate ideal for walkers, fishing, surfing, scuba diving, golf. The bustling picturesque harbour town of Mevagissey provides a perfect base for your holiday in South East Cornwall. Mevagissey climate benefits from the Gulf Stream, which flows up from the Caribbean. Cornwall enjoys short winters and the Mevagissey climate is mild all year round so you will find that the flowers bloom earlier than many other places.
A colourful history of boat building and smuggling. which still retains its traditional character it has a selection of quality pubs, restaurants and shops. Wander in the evening around the moon lit harbour. Or walk down to Portmellon with its 15th century pub directly on the beach. Fowey within a few miles and a ferry to and from the harbour in summer makes it a pleasent experience. Pentewan sands a large beach near by ideal for surfers.
There a a lot of places of interest nearby and cycles for hire locally are a great idea, local boat hire for fishing or day trips from the harbour to take in the sights. Deep sea fishing is available daily. Sample the local catch in the fresh bought restaurents in the harbour. Mevagissey is truely a gem of Cornwall and the unspoilt harbour makes it a visit to remember.
The Mevagissey area
Mevagissey is a small harbour in a conservation area. Unspoilt yet has a wealth of shops, inns, restaurants with a warm charm which will appeal to all. There is sea fishing from harbour or with local boat hire try it yourself. Visit world minature railway, Folk museum, aquarium within the village.
Famous Eden Project, Fowey, Charlestown, Gorran Haven to name a few places to visit, also within a couple of miles is the famous Gardens of Heligan or Tregrehan Gardens.
Great coastal paths for walkers. There are plenty of watersports including scuba diving, water skiing, kite boarding and surfing.
Cycle path from Pentewan village safe for children through woodland, choose different routes hire a bike.
NEW YEAR all the villagers dress in fancy dress to let the new year in style.

Fantastic holiday owners greeted us with chilled wine, and all the homely touches you would expect. The house is beautifully furnished with the most fabulous views from each window. Lovely walks and village has a lovely atmosphere.

This ancient festival celebrating the Feast of St. Peter has become a major event in the Cornish calender. Centred around the picturesque harbour, which is decorated with colourful lighting and huge silk flags depicting fantasy fish, turning the whole area into a riot of colour and movement. Firework display etc.
