This extraordinary apartment sits on the cliff edge and offers uninterrupted sea views across Mevagissey Bay to Chapel Point, as well as the surrounding countryside. It enjoys constantly changing views of the sea, its wildlife and seafaring crafts as well as views of open fields. We have been lucky enough to see the resident kestrel as well as dolphins.

Once the ground floor of a Victorian Hotel, this property has been recently renovated to a high standard reflecting many of the comforts of contemporary living: smart TVs, broadband, WiFi and automated blinds. The limestone floor has underfloor heating throughout, while the contemporary bathroom and ensuite have natural stone tiled walls with a bath as well as two showers and WCs. The shaker style kitchen is well equipped, including a Rangemaster cooker and an american style fridge as well as being spacious with room for a sofa.

With 2 double bedrooms this is a spacious apartment with an option for 2 additional people to sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge, making it suitable for 6 adults if necessary. There is an outline of the apartment in our selection of photographs. Linen and welcome packs are provided but we are not able to accommodate dogs.

It has stunning sea views from the majority of its rooms: the lounge, kitchen, master bedroom and all aspects of the garden.

Its garden benefits from 2 patio areas, with bi-fold doors from the lounge and patio doors from the master bedroom. The garden also has a lawn with borders. All offer sheltered spots with spectacular sea views. It also has an enclosed 'snug' area where a pergola sits on the cliff edge, a perfect spot to get away from it all.

Due to its cliff top position we do not recommend it for toddlers or ball games.

It is ideal for couples sharing, or for a family with older children. It is perfect for those seeking a quiet retreat or a relaxing base from which to explore the area. It has patios with sea and garden views, with garden furniture. This includes 2 sun loungers.

Positioned on the South West Coastal path it offers access to beautiful walks, historic gardens, sailing clubs and amazing beaches.

It is only a short journey to a number of tourist attractions, by land or sea.

Mevagissey is a few minutes walk away with its working harbour, restaurants, cafes and shops.

It has its own private parking for one car.

It can also be accessed easily by public transport from St Austell, which has a main line train station. The nearest airport is at Newquay.

Please note that we rent out the property on a weekly basis only. The changeover day is Saturday. Guests are welcome to check in from 3pm, please check out on the day of your departure by 10 am.

Mevagissey

Mevagissey is a picturesque working harbour steeped in history, with a lovely range of restaurants, cafes and shops.

Its streets and alleyways have many stories to tel, some of them having been in existence for hundreds of years.

It upholds many traditional festivitites such as feast week in June and new year celebrations in style.

Positioned on the South West Coastal path it offers access to a range of beautiful walks, historic gardens such as the Lost gardens of Heligan, Trelissick and Lanhydrock, sailing clubs such as Pentewan, and the amazing beaches of Gorran Haven and Caerhays.

It is only a short journey to the Eden project, Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Centre, and a ferry is available to take you around the bay or to Fowey.
