The Cornwall region
Cornwall is a lovely part of England surrounded by beaches - you are never far away from a sandy beach with stunning cliffs as backdrops. It has the highest sunshine hours in the UK, and lots of wonderful sub tropical gardens and National Trust properties to explore.
Mevagissey is an ancient Cornish fishing village, with a bustling harbour which is still working today. There are a few very old pubs, full of the smuggling legacy of the area, as well as some wonderful restaurants and little shops full of treasures. The Lost Gardens of Heligan is 5 minutes away, The Eden Project is 20 minutes away, the market town of St Austell is 10 minutes drive and the larger city of Truro is 25 minutes away. There are lots of sandy beaches within 20 minutes drive of St Austell - the wilder north coast of Cornwall famed for its surfing is within 30 minutes drive.

"Exactly what we were looking for"
Wonderful surprise on arrival - a full table of , tea, scones and jam - no sooner had wished I had picked up clotted cream at the butchers on the way I discovered some in the fridge with 2 pints of milk... Perfect!
The Cottage is a good size, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The decking ensures you can catch some sunshine even if you are in need of a lazy day! The steps up may be a bit tricky for some but even with my fear of heights it was manageable.
The location is perfect, just minutes from parking and the bus stop, restaurants and pubs and of course the harbour side.
Cannot wait to return again!
Thank you for such a lovely review. We hope to see you back in Cornwall very soon.

"Everything we needed, but could have been a bit cleaner."

We must apologise - the previous guests the week before obviously were not very good at washing up and we should have checked this. We acted immediately and cleaned out all the cupboards and re-washed all the crockery and pans.
