Seascape is a well equipped, contemporary and luxurious five bedroom house on a quiet road with plenty of parking. There are fantastic views over Mevagissey village and the sea/coastline. In an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is the ideal retreat for families and friends, conveniently located for many of the regions attractions, from beaches to the Eden Project.
The house comfortably sleeps up to eight people with bedrooms split over two floors offering two separate sleeping areas, ideal for extended families, for families sharing and groups of friends. The south facing garden is a real sun trap, great for a BBQ or just lazing in the sun. For cooler evenings snuggle up in front of the log gas stove.

The back garden is on the top floor with the main lower decking area accessed from the living room and back door. This is an ideal spot for al fresco dining with a table and chairs for 8 and luxurious eight seater outdoor sofa. This decking area is walled on all 4 sides, so is ideal for young children to play safely.
Steps lead up through the lawned and planted garden to the hidden top deck which has fantastic views of the bay, village and surrounding countryside, best viewed whilst relaxing in the round day bed. This top deck is higher than the roof of the house!
To the front of the house is a drive with parking for 2 cars (additional parking on the road in front of the house) and a pebbled garden.

* If you want to arrange a supermarket delivery (Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys all deliver) before you arrive we can receive and unpack for you. Contact us beforehand so we can agree a delivery slot.

Our normal changeover day is now on a Saturday, however depending on the time of year and other bookings we can be flexible on this.

The West Country region
So just what is it that makes Cornwall special? The mighty cliffs and crashing waves? The glorious sandy beaches?
The wild moorlands and peaceful woodlands? The friendly smiles and warm welcomes? The fantastic food and lively arts scene? Well, we think it's all of the above, and more!
Mevagissey itself is a traditional Cornish fishing village, where you can wander the narrow alleyways, browse the shops and art galleries, relax in one of the many pubs or dine in one of the excellent restaurants. The centre of Mevagissey and the harbour are just a short walk from the house.
There are many great walks to be had from the doorstep, either follow the coast path through some stunning scenary, or take a walk through the woods to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, just 45 min away (or a short drive). The Eden Project is about a 25 min drive. Alternatively, there a number of beaches close by, the closest being Portmellon which is a 10 min walk or the family friendly beaches of Gorran Haven and Caerhays are a 10 min drive. If you're up for day surfing, the north coast is an easy 45 min drive. If you're into cycling there are some great routes from flat and family friendly through to more demanding mountain biking trails.

"Perfect house in a great location with a brilliant view"
Stayed at Seascape for a week in June with other adult family members. The house is lovely, well presented, well equipped and very comfortable. Loved the WiFi and smart TV. The most amazing thing is the view over Mevagissy from the bedroom, lounge and garden. Close to Mevagissy, just a 5 to 10 minute walk, it is perfectly placed for all the restaurants, shops and harbour but without the hassle of parking there. Recommend Heligan, Eden and Lamorran gardens (near St Mawes). Pendover beach and St Ives are well worth the trip. The coast walk to Gorren Haven is nice if you don't want to go too far. Recommend Salamander (for a good evening meal) and Market Cafe (for breakfast and lunch). Hope to return soon.

"What a lovely place to stay!"
Really enjoyed my stay at Megavissey over Easter. The house was such a treasure, beautifully furnished and so well equipped. Seven of us went, five adults and two children and there was lots of room for everyone. The village of Megavissey was a five minute walk away, we spent Sunday afternoon in the pub watching a band and everyone was so welcoming - have not done that for years. Would highly recommend a spending time here.

"We almost wish Seascape could be our secret!"
We stayed at Seascape for a week, 4 of us - myself, husband and 2 grown up boys and we all absolutely loved the house, garden and surrounding village of Mevagissey.
The owners were prompt and efficient to respond to every question both before and after making the booking, and sent a very thorough and helpful description of how to get to Seascape. On arrival at the house we quickly realised how lovely it was inside. Very clean and tidy with new furnishings, tastefully decorated and kitted out with everything you might need for a stay on holiday. There was a very welcome pack of goodies, which happened to be most suitable, since it was my husbands birthday!
The location of the house is very good, with plenty of space off road for 2 cars, but more in the quiet road if necessary.The village centre shops, restaurants and the harbour are very close walking distance. There are splendid views from both the house and garden, during the day or night of the sea, hillside with attractive houses and the surrounding countryside.
The house was very spacious and arranged on 3 levels, making it suitable for a larger number of family or friends to stay. Our adult boys really enjoyed their stay and would have been happy to spend longer in the area. There is plenty to do in this area to do and see in this area of Cornwall. So many different beaches and coves to explore, towns and villages to visit and attractive gardens nerby and further afield.
The garden is arranged in a series of terraces, which adds interest to the landscaping, which is attractive and forms a selection of very useable sitting outdoor spaces, which are useable during the day or at night. The garden lights are an additional bit of fun, which contribute to the "outdoor rooms" where you can have a BBQ or sit and admire the views while having a quiet drink. The large decking area adjacent to the house would be a suitable area for younger children to safely play, and for the older children, the two TVs, a play station or DVD player would also no doubt help! Also, plenty of space in the house to spread out and 'do your own thing'. On the practical side, the utility space has washing machine, tumble drier, clothes airer, sink and places to put your wet suit - all very well thought out and most useful.
In all, Seascape was a real find - a most comfortable and enjoyable holiday and the best place we have stayed in to date. We would all strongly recommend a visit.
The only only one interesting thing we found was when we ate out at the local Indian restaurant, a few addition numbers of dishes seemed to creap onto the bill, and the prices were rounded up a bit - however, on the plus side - the restaurant had given out a 50% discount on the food - just a bit strange - it might have been better to have called it, say 25% discount, and been accurate with the pricing!

"Fabulous house in a great location and amazing views."
We loved Seascape spending five nights over Easter with our 3 grown up children. The house was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped (down to remote control garden lights) and in a great location being just a few minutes walk into Mevagissey. Plenty to do in the area to suit all tastes come rain or shine. Would definitely go back. The owners Robin and Melanie are also very helpful.
