The Burgundy region

The Burgundy/Cote-d'Or region

"There are more top producers in Meursault than in any other commune of the Cote d'Or. Certainly it is the most famous and popular of the great white appellations. Its wines are typically rich and savoury with nutty, honeyed hints and butter, vanilla spice from the oak" (Berry Bros.)

It is 5 minutes from Beaune, one of the key wine centres in France which hosts the country's primary annual wine auctions at the Hospices de Beaune. The area has a rich historical and architectural heritage, and provides easy access to Paris, Dijon, Lyon, Geneva and the South.

Meursault

The Meursault area

Meursault itself provides numerious wine-related activities, dining, 50+ wine producers, 4 restaurants, several hotels, bakers, traitors, tiny supermarket and much more.

Full details of activities can be obtained from the tourist office in the village.
