Messina / Capo d'Orlando area
Capo D'Orlando is a popular tourist resort owing to its beautiful sandy shores lapped by a turquoise coloured sea and is an ideal location of a self catering holiday in an apartment or villa in this area of Sicily. Situated on the Tyrrhenian Coast facing the Aeolian Islands, 80km west of Messina, this is a fashionable town with several open-air restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, elegant boutiques, cultural festivals, shows and performances. "Il borgo di San Gregorio" with its fishermans bay has some very typical restaurants where one can taste authentic Sicilian dishes and excellent fresh fish caught daily. Links to the Aeolian Islands which are well worth a visit are from Milazzo (all year round) and Caop D'Orlando (summer months only).
