The St. Philip region
Located in the South East of the island, 2 minutes drive from the famous bottom Bay beach. St. Philip is known for beautiful beaches ideal for swimming, body boarding, surfing, relaxing, etc. Popular beaches in this area are Crane, East Point, Sam Lords Castle, Foul Bay and Bottom Bay as well as a number of bays within 5 to 7 minutes drive. It should also be noted that ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' has rated Crane Beach as "one of the ten best beaches in the world"!
For persons interested in surfing LaToya's is located within 30 minutes drive from "Silver Rock" and "Soup Bowl" surfing spots.
St. Philip offers a number of places of historic interest such as Sunbury House - one of the many outstanding plantation houses which are open daily for viewing; King George V Memorial Park and Sam lords Castle. The area also boasts a natural spring at Three Houses Park a popular picnic spot.
Emerald City shopping mall located at Six Roads is less than 10 minutes away and offers a wide range of shops including supermarket, bank, gas station, post office and restaurants and the popular local fast food restaurant 'Chefette" equipped with a large children's play area.
5 minutes from the Crane Resort this has 2 restaurants overlooking the beach 10 minutes to Kendal Country Club with a lovely Colonial Bar, 20 minutes to the South Coast (Gap, Oistins, Dover) 30 minutes to the West Coast (St James, Holetown, Mullins)

LaToya's is located near a popular wind surfing and body boarding spot. "The Chair" . within 5 minutes drive is East Point Lighthouse also known as Ragged Point Lighthouse' which has been in existence since 1875 and is still operational and has the most picturesque view.
The island boast three outstanding golf courses: Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland located on the West coast about 30 minutes drive and the Barbados Golf Club located to the South of the island is 20 minutes drive from LaToya's. For lovers of miniature golf there is a course and marine park nearby.
A visit to Barbados is not complete without eating at the renowned Outdoor Fish Fry at Oistins and visiting the popular St. Lawrence Gap, these are all within 30 -40 minutes drive.
