About the home

This sunny flat in The Riviera Palace, is only a short stroll from the seafront. The wide bay with mountains as a backdrop, has many safe beaches and is good for swimming. Also nearby are food shops, a regular market and the centre of town.

The old town has great charm, and there are many fine buildings, well preserved. This sophisticated and cultural region provides numerous activities. Visit the Opera, go to concerts, stroll around exhibitions or antique markets, go hiking or enjoy water sports and sailing. Enjoy and relax.

There are two main rooms, both with 14ft ceilings, 71 metres of floor space in all. The American style kitchen is well equipped, with a dining area and there are electrical heaters, and cooling fans throughout.

There is a mezzanine floor above the main room housing the double bedroom, with mirrored cupboards, and en suite washroom and WC.

The main lounge room area overlooks the mature tree lined gardens. The Loggia has large south west facing windows, slatted blinds and also overlooks the gardens with 2 sofa beds and blanket chest.

Menton has a unique eco climate, protected by a high range of mountains, Alpes Maritines, it has unusually warm winters. There are many botanical gardens in the region and charming medieval hilltop villages. It is easy to get around using the local transport services - buses and trains are reliable and very reasonably priced.

Menton, famous for its Orange Festival in February, is situated between Monaco and the Italian town of Ventimiglia, a short train ride away. It has a wide bay with many safe beaches so is excellent for swimming.

Access: Although it is a ground floor apartment there are steps up to the entrance door and a winding staircase inside up to the mezzanine level where the bedroom is situated.

“Awesome stay in an old palace ...” We stayed nearly a week in this apartment and loved that it was in an old palace. The walk down through the gardens to town was lovely and didn't take long. The bus and train stations were... more

“A+ vacation” We did enjoy our 2-week stay in this facility. the apartment is well-equipped with anything you can ask for and perfectly located within 15-min walk from the beach. Since we rented a car, free parking spot was highly appreciated. Access to the private garden was also a bonus. I can't really name any disadvantages.
