About the home

The apartment is located on the 3rd floor with lift access.
Two bedrooms fitted with wardrobes,leading to balcony,and fully equipped kitchen.
The lounge is large and bright with dining area looking over the sea. It is very close to the shops and restaurants .
Menton is a pearl of France with Italy on one side and Monaco on the other and still benefits in the winter from a warm climate.Easy to relax,and an ideal holiday location.

“Spacious apartment, great location, excellent value for money!” This was our 2nd stay at Le Residence le Moliere, its a 2bedroom really spacious apartment, with great appliances ie washer/dishwasher/iron and a tv with English dvds, I travelled with my wife and two sons aged 12+18yrs, there are 2 dining tables,1 outside on the balcony,+1 inside lounge,it is spotlessly clean and the agent speaks good English, who met us and showed us around, also advice on where to park the hire car. There is a small supermarket just next door, which sells everything you might need including freshly baked baguettes and croissonts plus a butchers nearby,fruit+veg shop+a few patisseries, The beach is just a short walk and there are plenty of restaurants+snack bars too, 'International Pizza' is just up the road which has the best pizza in Menton!! You can take the train to Ventamigla Market, the station is about 10mins walk, or into Monaco going the other direction, also the local buses very cheap into the Old Town or along the coast into Monte Carlo. We love Menton, we enjoyed our stay at Le Moliere and we would highly recommend it.

“more than we expected” We came in from Nice airport via a bus that let us off at the Solenzara stop just 1 block from the apartment and were met there by wonderful Michaela who walked us up. How convenient is that! The stop is right in front of the Solenzara restaurant directly on the sea. We were so excited to find that our apartment was visible from there and had a wonderful sea view as well from it's balcony and eating area.The marble floors were so cool and lovely and the big sofa was so comfy. There is a ton of storage in this place, and actually 3 balconies! The front one faces the sea and the 2 back ones have a view of the mountains over the streets of Menton. We used to check the mountain view every morning to see if it was clear or shrouded in mist.Really pretty either way.The third balcony is off the kitchen and contains the laundry facilities.The owners provided maps and books and schedules for the buses and trains and even a french-english dictionary!We used all of these every day we were there. The town visitors center is just a short walk after a left turn out of the building. Just a little farther is a wonderful patisserie and a grocery store beyond that.Go half a block right and there is a bus stop that you can use to go into old Menton for only one Euro. We chose to walk most of the time though as the walk was along the front of the sea and the views were so amazing. That walk is lined with benches and restaurants so we often went that way for dinner. Walk that promenade in the other direction and you get more choices of restaurants and lovely views of the old town. Don't get the idea that this place is too commercial though, because the pace is very relaxing and uncrowded. Old town Menton has lots of little shops where the people have many of their wares outside. You can find crepes made to order or what is called Bruschetta but is actually a wonderful soft bread base with pizza like toppings. Yum Yum.Check out the candy shop and the gelato place too. Take the bus to Monaco or any of the small villages nearby, or even the short train trip to nearby Italy. It is all so reasonable and so accessible from here. The owners of the apartment were very easy to deal with and answered my every pre-trip question promptly. The price was totally reasonable. The apartment is spacious and has an elevator up to it's 3rd floor location. We will have wonderful memories to carry with us forever from this place. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

“A great spot in Menton” We two 60-ish couples spent the middle two weeks of September 2012 in Le Moliere. The near-perfect weather made up for the lack of air conditioning, which was the only problem with this apartment. Balconies on both mountain and sea sides made for wonderful flow-through ventilation. Surprisingly good sea views. Beds were comfortable, and the small kitchen perfectly adequate for vacationers who will be eating most meals out anyway. The Bord de Mer is only a two minute walk away, and a cafe, bakers, butchers and other providers are literally right outside your door. We seemed to live around the table for 4 on the seaside balcony. Given the lack of AC, I'm not sure about July or August, but September at Le Moliere was very nice.

“Why do we live here not there” The four of us, all full size adults, drove down to Menton in Sept'. It was far from the first time my disabled wife and I had spent time in Menton, a favorite, "sort of French" holiday resort. Finding the apartment could not have been simpler; the charming young lady, who administered the arrangements, met us on the sea front, we followed to the parking, which was excellent (and free). The flat, accessed by a lift, is two minutes away. Well appointed, with all modern conveniences (T.V. sat', radio, books, games.), we could ask for no more. A comfortable living/dinning room accesses a balcony with sea views where we spent most of or time when in the flat. One double and one Twin bedroom with good sized wardrobes both opened up onto another balcony; no view from this side but very convenient for drying things. The long narrow kitchen has all the gadgets that anyone could need for holiday cooking, including a dishwasher as well as clothes washing facilities. Full breakfasts and roast dinners would be no difficulty; but why would you? With sea views and easy access to the esplanade the apartment enjoys not only a beautiful location, it is also a very practical location, a small supermarket with charming staff (the owner has a very good sense of humor, he needed it with my French) at the entrance to the block; butchers, bakers and everything else that you may need are within moments walk from the doors. The walk into Menton old town, proper, is a good distance but flat and is easily broken into bite sized chunks by coffee, beer, wine, stops at the many cafe's on the way. There is a very convenient and cheap bus service that covers the whole area as well as the rail station being five minutes walk so all those exotic places that I used to watch on 1960's T.V. shows are easily accessed without the use of a car. France and the Cote d' Azure is our favorite place to holiday; Adams apartment is the best, at an affordable cost, accommodation that we have had down on the Med' in our many years of holidaying in paradise and I'm happy to back that up, give me a call.
