Casa Gurra is 300 mt from the beach and 100 mt on the level of sea, near a magnificent sandy beach declared “Blue Flag” by “Legambiente” during the last ten years, certifying the sea and environment low pollution level. Around 10kms.of sandy beaches with the presence of a natural phenomenon of "Dunes",modelled by the African wind.
The house is on the hill "Gurra di Mare" 10 minutes walking from the fishing village of Porto Palo, where is possible to find restaurants, bars, beach resorts, mini-market, tabaconist...

Casa Gurra is well equipped for kids and baby , the ideal solution for a family vacation, its environment is perfect for children who can have a good time playing in the small lined with trees house garden or in the safe sandy beach of Porto Palo, while you can enjoy the sunshine of Sicily in a quiet environement.

Menfi / Porto Palo di Menfi area

Menfi is an agricultural centre near the sea on the Southern coast of Sicily between Selinunte and Agrigento. The wine production has had an important role on the village's development and economy and every year, between end of June and the first days of July, Inycon Feast is a three days celebration of this territory and its wine.
Particularly, Porto Palo has the singular peculiarity to be a real countryside village in front of sea.
Places of interest near Menfi and Porto Palo: Agrigento (km 85) and Valle dei Templi; Selinunte (km 25) with its archeological sights; Mazara (km 44) one of the most important fishing village in Italy; Sciacca (25 km) and Montevago (km 22) with their thermal centres; Marsala (km 63) where you can visit the ancient "Cantine Florio".

Really cheap flights from London Stansted to Palermo Punta Raisi and from Paris Beauvais to Trapani Birgi with Ryanair.
Car hire available at Palermo Punta Raisi Airport and Trapani Birgi Airport. Recommended companies: Avis, Hertz, Maggiore. In Menfi Portopalo you can hire: motorbyke , bicycles, motorboath and flight microlights

Keeping the old home style, the building has been restructured during the 2004, the old cow-house has become a nice living room with fire-place and loft.
There are some ancient pieces of furniture and attention for details, 8 comfortable places in a 140 mq house, with five rooms and double bath: a young room with four beds and direct entrance from the house portico, a big bedroom and the loft upstairs for two persons, with private bath. The big living kitchen has an old furnace, but all the modern equipment (microwaves oven, washing machine, refrigerator and professional stoves). Kitchen is also supplied with every kind of pans and pots. You also have at your disposal fans, satellite tv-set.
Asking for, you can find baby equipment.

The garden is equipped with barbecue, sun umbrella, outside shower, lawn chair, hammock and three bicycles.

Conditions

- A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the entire cost of your stay must be paid at the time of booking. We will accept deposits by credit card through pay pal (a 4,5% transaction fee will be applied in this case).

- The balance due must be paid CASH UPON ARRIVAL. For bookings made within 10 (ten) days of your arrival, you will be required to pay the full cost of your stay at the time of booking.

- Security deposit will be required cash upon arrival. The amount will be specified at the time of reservation and this deposit will be returned in full at the end of the holiday if, after inspection, the premises and appliances are in good condition and have not been damaged.
