Millpond Cottage
About the home
The cottage has been completely refurbished to the highest standard, completed 2009 and can now comfortably sleep 6 people or 7 people with the use of a sofa bed in the second lounge area. It is fully centrally heated and equipped to meet everybody’s needs.
The décor has been kept bright to give a spacious feel to all the rooms and the living area on the ground floor is especially sociable being open plan L shape to include the kitchen, dining area and lounge. It is from these rooms that the best views can be appreciated over the surrounding countryside and the double patio doors can be wide open in the summer or closed with curtains pulled for a snug feel in the winter.
Adjoining this room is a carpeted second lounge which is cosy and quiet but also has a small TV, games and stereo for children. The cottage is on a working farm and children will love to explore the fields, rivers and woodlands whilst you enjoy the peaceful patio area overlooking the splendid views.

The Great Outdoors
From golfing to rock climbing you can find it all in this area.
Anglesey boasts no less than eight golf courses from the championship links course of Bull Bay to the open moorland course of Barons Hill. Golf has a huge following in the area, and don't forget Wales will be hosting the Ryder Cup in 2010.You can buy a pass that gives you access to the 5 premier courses here.
The Menai Bridge / Penmynydd area
Walkers are hugely spoilt for choice, the highly popular Anglesey Coastal Path takes in some of the most breathtaking scenery anywhere in the UK from the towering cliff faces in the north of the island to the stunning beauty of the 'Tunnicliffe Country' around Malltraeth, a bird watchers paradise.
Venture across the bridge and Snowdonia opens up. The national park has some of the most varied walking in the UK, and one of it's highest peaks, Snowndon itself. From easy valley strolls to the challenge of the classic scrambles of Crib Goch (stunning, but not for the inexperienced!) and Tryfan's infamous North Ridge you'll be glad you packed your boots.
Being an island, Anglesey is a Mecca for watersports enthusiasts. Around it's coast you'll find people diving, sea kayaking, sailing, wind surfing even kite surfing! Fishing charters are widely available and there are numerous boat yards, chandlers and tackle shops. If this all sounds a bit too energetic we've got countless miles of clean sandy beaches!

We have just come back from our second two week visit to the cottage and are hoping to return again next year! The cottage is beautifully equiped and has a gorgeous modern open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area - with wonderful views over the field and mountains in the distance. Fabulous hot tub and use of tennis court which out 5 teenagers thought was 'lush!' Very private. A real escape but Judith and Dominic are there if you ever need anything. So friendly and helpful. A perfect location to explore Anglesey, The Straits and the Mountains. We all absolutely loved it! |

We stayed 4 nights in late July early August 2012. The cottage was perfect for us, the kids loved the horses on the field at the back of the house and the space and freedom of being on a farm. The cottage was clean and welcoming. The owners left a welcome pack which was perfect whilst we waited for supermarket shop to arrive. The location was really good lots to do all within a short drive. The kids loved the hot tub. All in all we had a great short break, the wi fi is provided via a dongle with a usb connector so was no good for ipads we had taken, but not a huge problem for us. |
