Pen-y-Clip
About the home
Pen-y-Clip is set on the hillside overlooking the Menai Strait with views across to the Snowdonian Mountain Range. It's a 10 minute walk from the village center and harbor which has a range of shops, pubs, cafe/restaurants and takeaways.
A refurbished, Modernist farmhouse, it is spacious, bright and makes the most of the fantastic gardens and views. Most rooms in the house are south facing taking in the magnificent views and gardens. There is direct access onto the gardens from both lounge and kitchen. Outside the gardens extend to around 3 acres and are not overlooked.
Immediately outside the lounge is a large decked area for outdoor dining and a further area with a hot tub which takes 7 adults. It has a very sheltered aspect but also there is a Sun House a short distance from the house for those more chilly days!

The North Wales / Anglesey region

Anglesey is ideally located for those who love beaches, fishing, boating, windsurfing, walking, cycling, bird watching, and much more. Whilst it is in the UK, it does always seem to have better weather than we do in Manchester! There are so many lovely beaches on Anglesey that there are really too many to mention. We have compiled a list of things we like to do when we stay which we send out to our guests before their stay. We use the house regularly so we know good places to eat and places to visit.
The Menai Bridge area
Menai Bridge is an attractive little village with shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. It is on the sea front and there are many nice strolls around the village and starting points for the more serious walker. It is close to the Menai Bridge which you can walk across. It is within easy reach of Beaumaris. There is a Waitrose in the village, a good local butchers and a deli too.
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch has the longest place name in the UK and is ten minutes drive and of course Bangor which has many shops and a lovely victorian pier where our children love to go and catch crabs.

Guestbook for Pen-y-Clip
We had a fabulous week at Pen-y-Clip. The house, gardens and all the other facilities were perfect for us.
The only downside was not enough sun! However, we still managed to get out and about and do most of the things we wanted to.

What a fantastic place. We rented the house for a 50th family gathering. The surroundings are just amazing and the house is to such a high standard. It was a delight to stay…. Only one problem…we have to go home. Brilliant.

we have had a fantastic week here, the house and locality are excellent. We ranged in age from baby at 6 weeks to a great grandma at 88! It has been brilliant for all or us. We will book again for next year! Many thanks

Fantastic house, fantastic location. Very relaxing few days. House was spotless and furnished to a very high standard. We didn’t move. Hot tub was used a lot, even in the pouring rain. Would definitely come again. Keith and Lorraine Houghton, Widnes

We love Pen y Clip a fabulous house with beautiful views and a wonderful garden. The children spent hours exploring and having adventures. We can see why others didn’t leave the house.
