About the home

Villa Navalia is directly on the lake shore in the bay of Menaggio, at 1.5 km from Menaggio center. It overlooks the marina, the ground floor ( 430sq.m) sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom and the upper floor ( 300sq.m) sleeps 6 in 3 double bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom. We have chosen for an ultra modern interior look with wonderful Italian design furniture.

Spacious living quarters, sat. Tv, internet, airconditioning, modern design kitchens, large dining tables, views from each room over lake an mountains.

The ground fl. apt has a panoramic terrace of generous proportions, with spa/whirpool, and two covered patio's for wining and dining and sunbathing , whereas the apt on the upper floor has a pleasant front terrace and 5 lake view balconies.

Private secure parking in front of the villa.

The floors can be rented separately( 12 or 6 pax ) or together ( 18 pax) .

Underneath the villa, we have a large marina where sailing and speed boats are moored , it might be an idea to bring your own boat and explore the lake by own means, this is a special experience. Sailing lessons, speedboat rentals, small motorboat rentals, taxi boat rentals can be provided.

Having such a large terrace, the apartment on the ground floor is suitable for wedding parties, family gatherings, or other events. if you wish to organize this during your stay , exceeding the number of guests sojourning, ask for permission and charges.

we offer for shared use 5 bikes to our guests.

On the panoramic ground floor terrace we have a spa/whirpool.

Consider to bring your own boat and moor it in front of the villa.

Upon request and payment we provide sailing lessons, taxi boat service, touristic round trips, we have two speedboats for rent ., one carying 6 pax, the other one 10 persons. ( nautical license required)

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

Lake Como is one of the most beautiful lakes in northern Italy, at 200 m above sea level and it is 50 km long. It is also the deepest lake ( 400m) and situated at the foot of the Alps ( 2000-3000 m) and surrounded by lovely valleys .

the shores of Lake Como alternate between picturesque villages leaning out on the water, gravel-sandy or grass rocky small beaches, pleasure harbours and water sport areas.

Lake Como is conveniently close to airports and Milan-city for your visit to the trendy shopping centre, historical buildings, Scala, Cathedral , trade fairs, Formula uno races in Monza..

Lake Como offers a leisurely holiday: sip your cappuccino at the local village square, visit the beautiful villa's: Balbianello in Lenno, Melzi in Bellagio, Carlotto in Tremezzo, take the boat and criss-cross the lake and stop at Bellagio or Varenna, which are just opposite Menaggio. Take the car up a winding road and stop at a view point , for sure a small trattoria nearby smells of a good pasta " pizzocheri" or the local fish dish" misultin", do not forget to taste the local strong wines. Invite yourself to a "chique" aperative at Villa d'Este in Cernobbio or a meal at the Golfclub in Menaggio where you might sit near to the rich and beautiful ( football players or movie stars).

For the active holidaymakers one week is too short: hiking and biking in the valleys or to the high Alps in St. Moritz, sailing, surfing, swimming in the lake ( clear and clean) , or take a day trip to Milan, Bergamo or even Venice.

The Menaggio area

Villa Navalia is at 1.5 km from Menaggio city centre, a lovely little town which boasts a magnificent position halfway along the western shores of the lake , it has a lively lake side boulevard , nice shopping centre, excellent icecream parlours, busy weekly market for your "Italian bargain" , pleasure harbour, boat stop to cross over to Bellagio, Varenna and other places, Mini golf, "Lido" beach area with swimming pools, restaurant, entertainment and good restaurants.

back in medieval times Menaggio was a fortified trading centre , still remains of the castle can be visited

From Menaggio cross over to Porlezza and hop into Switzerland, which gives a different " feeling".

Menaggio is for the active and leisuring holidaymakers a lovely place.
