The penthouse is situated all on one floor with no apartment above or adjacent – windows on 4 sides.
Direct and secure access into penthouse from lift – good for carrying groceries and disabled access.

“Great Accommodation- Incomparable Views” We are a family of 6 - 2 Adults and 4 kids aged 9 to 15, and stayed at the property for a week. We spent the first part of most days touring and attractions for kids. The area seems more geared for adults, but we found enough items of interest for the week we were there. Late afternoons were normally by the pool before supper etc. Pros: The apartment itself was fantastic, fully furnished and equipped, very comfortable and roomy, with views second to none from all the living areas. Menaggio is a very good location to explore the entire area, lovely village center and waterfront, close to ferries etc. Some good attractions that we found: Swiss Chocolate factory (http://www.alprose.ch/en/about_alprose) and MIni Switzerland (http://www.swissminiatur.ch/?fuseaction=m4.12&lan=en) and the jungle raider park (http://www.jungleraiderpark.com/it/home.xhtml) Cons: Car vital- the walk up or down to the village center is steep and near impossible with kids. The access to the indoor parking is extremely awkward and we did not even try and use it as we had a large mini van rental. The lift is not a regular lift but more a slow vertical "push and hold" the button mover and was getting stuck often. We basically used only for shopping or luggage as didn't have the patience to use otherwise. The pool is about 12 m X 4 m- large enough and not deep which is good for kids with great views of the lake- but positioned above the complex and difficult access from the apartment. You basically have to go down 3 floors (not using the lift) and then climb approx 5-6 floors outside to get to the level of the pool. A bit silly when it could easily have been better planned if the apartment had an exit to the back onto the upper level. Another problem we encountered was moans and complaints by the neighbors regarding noise around the pool- I must stress that we did not use the pool at irregular times- during "siesta" time and not before 10 am or after 7 pm and our kids are no noisier than others around a pool. The moans and groans put a bit of a damper on the fun around the pool. All in all we were not fussed to much about the cons, and had a fantastic holiday in what must be one of the more beautiful areas of the world.
