Villetta Katura is a lovely modern property with wonderful views over Lake Como. It has a charming garden with patio and barbecue area to the rear overlooking the mountains towards Switzerland and a front terrace overlooking the lake and mountains, all ideal for eating al fresco. All the bedrooms have balconies and great views. There are 2 spacious bathrooms 1 with shower cubicle and 1 with bath and integral shower.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area

Menaggio is on Lake Como in the region of Lombardy near the Swiss border and north of Milan. The area is well served by public transport and there is a good local taxi service.
The climate of the region is temperate combining hot summers with a pleasant breeze and mild winters.
Bellagio, with it's beautiful gardens, is a short boat ride away and Lake Como's famous villas are all easily accessible.
The city of Como, the silk capital of Italy, is a 40 minute drive away or a pleasant boat ride which stops at several pretty villages along the lake. The boat passes the villa owned by George Clooney in Laglio.

Menaggio area

Menaggio is one of the best known tourist resorts on the Western shore of Lake Como and as well as many shops, restaurants and bars it's services include banks, post office, pharmacy, cinema and internet point. It has street markets and festivals at various times throughout the year.
It has a bus and boat terminal for various trips around the lake and to places further afield.
The oldest golf course in Italy is located a short drive from the villetta and horse riding and other activities are near at hand.
There are many walks within the area with routes available from the excellent tourist office.

Milan airports - Linate, Bergamo or Malpensa.
From Como by bus or car.
By train from Bergamo or Milan to Como or Varenna.
By car from the airports, Switzerland etc.

On the ground floor there is a living room with wood burning fire, a dining area and fully equipped kitchen, all giving a spacious feeling. There is also a bathroom with integral shower and a utility area with washing machine. An open staircase leads to the first floor comprising 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedded room, 1 single bedroom and bathroom with shower cubicle. All bedrooms have balconies with table and chairs to capitalise on the extensive views.

There is a large private garden to the rear and side which includes a patio, built-in barbecue and well manicured lawn. To the front is a terrace, with splendid views of Lake Como, which is ideal for eating al fresco.
