Whilst enjoying close proximity to the centre of the famous lakeside town of Menaggio, the Villa (ID 305) offers a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

The villa is modern, spacious and luxuriously fitted and furnished throughout, lending itself to a wide variety of accommodation, from family stays and reunions, to couples and friends travelling together.

On approaching This Villa an off-street driveway with garage is situated, with a stone path leading across a sunny lawn to the entrance of the property. The Lake views from this approach are outstanding and suitably panoramic, creating the maximum ‘wow’ factor!

Once inside a beautiful Open Plan Living room presents itself, with high beamed ceilings, a luxurious high gloss fully-fitted Kitchen, a contemporary Dining area for 6 guests and a Living area offering a wonderful seating area with access out onto a balcony terrace.

The lake view balcony terrace is ideal for Alfresco dining and entertaining, with a fantastic Jacuzzi for you and your guests to relax with a glass of fine Italian wine and really unwind in style!

There is a second very spacious Living room in the villa and the sleeping accommodation is extremely spacious and comfortable for a party of 6, with 3 modern and very stylish Double Bedrooms. There are two newly fitted Bathrooms; one boasts a Bath tub and the other a Shower as well as all the desired fittings and sanitary ware.

The Italian Lakes are a little slice of paradise. Elegant ribbons of blue water stretch out ahead, folded into the sun-baked foothills, with a spectacular back drop of the snow-capped Alps.

Warming, inspriing and graced with natural beauty, the lakes are still a place to draw breath and wonder. Lake Como, oriented north-south, ringed by characterful old villages often wedged onto
narrow beaches between rugged cliffs and water. Those classic lake images of flower strewn balconies, Baroque gardens and splendid waterside villas can be found here in abundance. Dotted around and between the lakes are some of Italy's finest art cities, such as Milan, Verona & Bergamo.

The most romantic and picturesque villages on the lake are Santa Maria Rezzonico, Varenna (15 min by ferry) & Bellagio (8 min by ferry), Lenno (visit Villa Balbianello, location for 007's Casino Royale as well as Villa Gaeta, right here in Menaggio) & Laglio (where George Clooney owns Villa Oleandra).

The Menaggio area

The centre of Menaggio boasts many local amenities which will appeal to self-catering holiday makers including supermarkets, bakery, delicatessens, cafes and restaurants. The Lake view Piazza and promenade are a great joy to investigate and there are many things to enjoy and try such as the local ice-cream, boat rentals, shopping at the boutique shops, the popular Lido with its swimming pools, restaurant, park and volley ball, the mini golf and the frequent Ferry which leaves the town regularly for the other tourist towns of Varenna, Bellagio, the western Lakeshore towns and Como city.

Menaggio is a picturesque village nestled in a convenient central position on the lake. It is a historical lake side town with many quaint neighbourhoods which extend north along the lake and up into the green hills and valleys. Menaggio offers stunningly beautiful views of Lake Como and the majestic mountains which surround it overlooked by the Alps to the North.

There is a fine selection of restaurants, delis, fresh grocers and of course delicious gelato and pizza! To keep you moving and fit while on vacation: play a round of golf at the infamous Menaggio & cadenabbia Golf Club, mini golf, hiking trails, mountain biking, free climbing, swimming and a new orienteering field all located in stunning locations -these are just a few possibilities offered to you in and around Menaggio. There is a museum dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci at the new “Lido Giardino” and in the Val Senagra Park, a museum featuring the value of antique buildings, artisan and peasant objects and creations. Other culturally rich events including music, fireworks, public markets and local festivals are to be enjoyed.

Menaggio’s tourist office www.menaggio.com, situated in the main square, Piazza Garibaldi, offers a great deal of information detailing what’s going on in and around the lakes, sightseeing, history and sporting activities.

During the summer the area boasts fantastic opportunities for many activities including mountain biking, cycling, horse riding, walking, many water sports including kite surfing, fishing, tennis, and of course golf at the historic Mennagio & Cadenabbia Golf Club www.menaggio.it.The Ferries run from Menaggio to both the North and South of Lake Come making it an ideal centre for sightseeing. The lovely lakeside and harbour have many cafes where you can sit and relax while watch the world go by.

Outdoor activities abound in this area and are very popular with holiday makers. An18 hole golf course, mountain biking, water skiing and lots of other sports are all here to be enjoyed by you and your family.

Making a Booking:

To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
