Kippilaw is situated in the heart of the borders near the lovely town of Melrose, which has several good restaurants, pubs, village shops and hotels. It is perfectly placed for all your needs and a specially great place for any get together, celebration or party.
There are several great golf courses. Fishing on the tweed, can be organised for you. Clay pigeon shooting and mountain biking at Glentress.

The South/Borders region
The Borders are a great place to visit:being only 1 hour south of Edinburgh or 1 hour north of the English Border, it is easy to get too. There are great walks and countryside,with the worlds best salmon river, the tweed fantastic Golf courses. Many historic places to visit.
Very beautiful and specially friendly, come and visit the undiscovered Scotland in the Borders.
Melrose area
Melrose is a lovely village with a great choice of places to eat ,boutique shops,pubs and small hotels. Melrose Abbey, Dryburgh Abbey or any of the many border Abbeys with the Abbey walk. 21 golf courses.with the great freedom of the fairways pass.(ask we can help)
Horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, Jedburgh Deer and animal park, Floors Castle and gardens, Stobo Castle for pampering beauty days. Glentress Mountain Biking, Fishing-salmon or trout, hunting and shooting.
How to get there
Edinburgh Airport is 38 miles approx 1 hour drive. Edinburgh train station is 36 miles.
There are buses from Edinburgh, please call or email for details. Newcastle airport is about 60 miles approx 1 hour and 45 minutes drive. Glasgow airport is about 60 miles approx 1 hour and 45 minutes driving.
Berwick Upon Tweed station which is 45 miles from Melrose is a good link with London, the train goes from Kings Cross Station, and takes approx 4 hrs. There is a bus ( Berwick Rail Link)that links with the train and takes you to Melrose. Please call us and we will help with this.

There is a place for a bonfire if you wish BBQ equipment is available.
We are lucky enough to have a beautiful south facing Victorian veranda. This is great for relaxing or enjoying cocktails in the evening or any time. This is a great sun trap.
Surrounded in woodland perfect for walks down to the pond or up to the old windmill ruins on the hills.

There is a fuel charge of £240 per week or £140 for the weekend.
There is a deposit of £600 in case of breakages.
