Tweed Rig is available for self-catering rental with accommodation for 10 + 4 people, guest beds and cot available if required.

Melrose is in the middle of the Scottish Borders - a great base for visiting abbeys, castles, country houses, golf, fishing, walking, cycling - and Edinburgh is a lovely one hour drive away.

Tweed Rig is a detached property situated in a private one-acre garden. There is a large lawn surrounded by a mature woodland garden. Parking for 5/6 cars.

Rentals are normally Friday - Friday but are flexible.
Guests are welcome from 3pm on arrival day and are asked to vacate the house by 10am on day of departure. In low season times can be flexible.
No smoking permitted in house but permitted on balcony.

Weekend/Short breaks available all year except High Season. Minimum 3-night rental £850. £85 per person based on 10 sharing.

A FEW WEEKENDS LEFT IN 2010 LATE OFFER weekend short breaks £750 3 nights. Midweek breaks £750 for 4 nights

Changeover day flexible low season.

Tweed Rig is in the pretty village of Gattonside by Melrose. Gattonside has two excellent restaurants within walking distance. A 15 min stroll across the river Tweed by a suspension bridge takes you into Melrose where there are shops, pubs, restaurants, a small theatre, etc.

Tweed Rig is in the middle of the Scottish Borders making it a great base for exploring the area.
Golf, tennis, horse riding, walking, cycling and fishing are all available locally.

Excellent mountain biking facility at Glentress.

“Beautiful house with everything you need” We visited the house with family and friends for a 50th Birthday and had an excellent 4 day stay. Goats Lane gets a bit slippy in the winter so be prepared to leave the cars at the bottom or risk... more

“Practical, peaceful and perfect!” Tweed Rig is an extremely well-equipped house. We were not short of anything. The house is comfortable, spacious and very pleasantly decorated. On arrival we found our accommodation to be clean and tidy. The location was great, very quiet and within easy walking distance to the village and a slightly further, but enjoyable walk, takes you right into Melrose. A super property for a lovely family holiday!
