Located in Mellieha ,the apartment is on the first floor served with lift , consists of an open plan modern kitchen/ dining/ living room with sofa bed, 3 double bedroom, ,bathroom and spare toilet with shower. Fully furnished. Supplied with automatic washing machine (all mod cons), tastefully decorated, this great apartment will give you the style & comfort of your own home . The property can be easily reached by bus. And is 2 minutes walk to the beach THE APARTMENT IS VERY CENTRAL with cafes and facilities within a few minutes walk .

No loud partying can be held int the apartment and the maximum number of persons booked is not be exceeded,unless this is approved by the owner of the apartment . In case of a breach of these conditions , the apartment will have to be vacated immediately and any payments will be lost .

The apartment is given to the client clean undertakes to leave the apartment clean and tidy or pay charge of 30 euros to cover the service .

The Mellieha area

The gorgeous Mellieha Bay beach is the longest beach in the area with lovely clean, shallow water and golden sands. Mellieha is an excellent location to spend your holidays whilst in Malta. All the major beaches are all a stone throw away. Since it is located in the north of Malta, it is extremely easy to go to Gozo or Comino for a day. Crossing over from Mellieha to Gozo would just require a 5 to 10 minute drive to the Gozo Channel car ferry terminal in Cirkewwa .Mellieha offers shallow waters and a vast expanse of smooth golden sands, and the presence of life-guards make it an ideal spot for families with children. Watersports are available on Mellieha Beach, including water-skiing and parasailing, with fun activities such as banana boat rides and pedalos on offer. A good choice of beach bars and restaurants line the beach and some large hotels sit back from the seafront.

Explore the Town
The town centre of Mellieha is packed with interesting and useful shops, restaurants selling delicious local and international food and friendly cafes with chilled outdoor seating. The town’s side streets are pretty, typically Maltan, giving an insight into the lives of the people who live here all year round. Folk sit outside their houses on warm evenings chatting, a good way to meet the locals.

Popeye Village
The kids will love this feature of Malta! Popeye Village was originally built as a film set but now it’s a magical place for children, with a museum as well as live puppet shows and a funfair.

The Feast of Our Lady of Victories
If you visit between 30th August and 8th September you can join in with the big celebrations for the Feast of our Lady of Victories. One long party covering the whole week, filled with exciting displays of fireworks, live music and folk dancing, local arts and crafts and a spectacular procession.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mellieha
Fancy some history? Our lady of Mellieha church faces onto a really pretty ancient square with a sparkling fountain and trees. This is a little oasis away from the holiday turmoil. Or visit the Parish Church complex complete with wonderful medieval cathedrals clinging to the slopes & the unmissable war shelters!!

Ancient Art
There’s an ancient painting in Mellieha Sanctuary Cave, of the Madonna and Child. Allegedly, painted in 60AD by St Luke whilst he was shipwrecked here, but more likely a medieval piece of art. All the same it is a pretty thing and well worth the visit if you’re an art buff.

On the inland side of the bay there is the Danish holiday village and a Nature Reserve. There is a tiny lake reserved for migrant birds and wildlife with observation posts that are open to the public during the morning. .

Red Tower
If one keeps going uphill past Mellieha Bay one definitely cannot miss the Red Tower and again be stunned by the scenery. It is unobstructed with views of Gozo, Comino and Mellieha Bay. The Red Tower used to belong to a series of seven Towers spread around the shores of Malta. Guards used to man the towers day and night to scan the seas and signal to the next Tower who would in turn signal to the next and so on in case of sighting an enemy fleet . The Tower.is open from 10 to 1pm and till 4pm on Tuesdays.


WALKS AROUND MALTA


From autumn to spring the Maltese countryside comes back to life after the hot summer months. The Maltese Islands turn green and by late spring a thousand or more species of plants blossom

Malta has more to offer than simply sun and sea. Away from the resorts and urban life, there is a lovely countryside some of which has been left untouched by the 20th century! This part of the island is important for farmers and cultivators because most village life centres on the agricultural and fishing seasons. It is fantastic to see that these Maltese villages still preserve their old way of life, where old women and men work the fields or go out at sea.

For this reason, Malta country walks have been established for the tourist who really wishes to get a proper feel of the Maltese landscape and un-urbanised way of life. It is an ideal holiday option for couples, groups of friends and single travelers who love to be one with nature and who would like to leave the mundane life behind for a while

Country walks are usually overlooked by guidebooks. All you need is a good pair of shoes and you can explore the hidden and secluded areas around the island. Whilst on holiday in Malta you may opt to embark on a Malta walk, such as the Bahrija Walk, Dwejra Walk, Girgenti Walk or Marfa Walk.

The islands offer some of the most breath-taking views in the Mediterranean that range from dramatic cliffs and garigue scrubland, to luscious hills and valleys. As you explore, you could come across families working the fields, herds of goat or sheep, cave chapels, old farmhouses or prehistoric sites. There are also areas that make excellent day hikes; such as Mellieha, Dingli, Ghar Lapsi, Fawwara, Wardija, all the North and the various bays, and the southern coast with its fishing villages and Delimara Point.

The sunny skies and relaxed pace of life on Gozo provide a perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy the countryside. Amongst the most popular areas for walking are Ta' Dgiebi, Gordan Lighthouse, Hondoq ir-Rummien and San Blas Valley. The island is literally criss-crossed by tracks and lanes and the possibilities are endless. Tiny Comino, which is inhabited by some 15 people, is also ideal for a good day's hiking and provides the ultimate in solitude and views.

So, as Visit malta put it simply, put on your walking boots, hire a mountain bike and head out from the village squares on the narrow farmers tracks. Youll find yourself in a timeless landscape, quite alone even in peak season. There is plenty to discover, from ancient farmhouses and wayside chapels to spectacular seascapes. It is well worth the effort! I couldnt agree more

During the WINTER MONTHS, the area is ideal for LONG QUIET WALKS and PICNICS. Up the road from Ghadira Bay one can enjoy beautiful COUNTRYSIDE, with PICNIC AREAS OVERLOOKING THE SEA


The best months to walk around in Malta are definitely March, April, May, October & November..
The winter months, December, January and February can also be very pleasant with temperature of around 14-16 degrees. If you are living in Northern Europe, then this could be summer for you.

Malta's national airline, Air Malta, operates regular scheduled flights out of 27 European airports. Air Malta also operates an extensive charter network, with 18 points in UK and 15 in mainland Europe. Air Malta is represented by British Airways in the US and Canada.

Other International airlines that operate scheduled flights to Malta include: Alitalia, Swissair, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Transavia, Egyptair, Balkan Airlines, Areoflot, British Airways, Tuninter, Corsair, Condorflug and LTU/LTU Sud.

All flights to Malta operate into and out of Malta International Airport's new terminal.From Luqa airport in Malta the apartment is only 25 minutes away by car and if necessary I can arrange a local taxi firm to collect clients at the airport and take them to the apartment at a very reasonable cost.

Driving Directions from Airport:
Follow signs to Gozo, drive along the Salina Coast Road, keep driving straight past Qawra and Bugibba area.At the intersection and traffic lights you will see signs to Mellieha.
If you opt for car hire, we recommend a local firm, which offers very good rates to our clients.

l'appartamento è situato in una zona molta tranquilla di malta, ideale per rilassarsi e godersi la bellissima spiaggia di mellieha bay che è veramente vicina e si raggiunge a piedi facilmente. L'arredamento è moderno e molto curato; è dotato di ogni tipo di comfort che ne rendono ottima la vitabilità. Nella zona ci sono molti ristoranti di buona qualità e sono presenti due supermartket a pochi minuti dall'appartamento. Complessivamente un ottimo appartamento per godersi una vacanza tranquilla nella bella isola di malta.

Very well located apartment near the beach . The beach is easy to reach by foot . Buses stop just feet from the apartment so its ideal for touring by bus.
And the most important thing that the apartment was very clean and I felt that I was at home .
