About the home

A humble apartment,having a lot to offer in ways of scenery, position and local cuisine.

Comfortable with all the usual amenities and a flat for all seasons. Close to the sea for summer sports (swimming,sailing, scuba diving etc.) In winter is close to the country side for good walks, horse riding. two minutes away by car to the sea terminal for Gozo.

The Island of Malta region

Malta is situated in the middle of the mediterranean just off Sicily. Temperature is considered warm with the coldest days are in the months of January and February rarely going down to 4 degrees celsius and average temperature is between 12-20 celsius. Summer temp.can go up to as high as 34 degrees especially in august and September.

Malta is rich in History and a visit to Valletta and Mdina is a must. Plan a day visit to Gozo and Comino.

Cuisine is diverse with Italain and north african influence. It is a must to try Lampuki(fish) in season, Timpana( baked pasta dish in Crust), Gbejniet(cheeslets) especially in Gozo, qarniet(octopus). For the beer drinkers there are some nice local brews and the good news is that they are much cheaper then in any other European countries.

Malta is heaven for water sports activities especially swimming, scuba diving and sailing.

The Mellieha / Ghadira Bay area

Ghadira Bay is beautiful all year round. Summer is ideal for swimming and water sports. There is a sailing school in the area were you can learn how to sail. Scuba diving is also available close by.

In winter you can enjoy horse riding and quiet walks. you can also visit the village were Popeye was filmed.
8th. september is the local Village Festa in Mellieha, but if you miss that there is a festa every week in different villages.

Remember Ghadira is a couple of minutes away from Cirkewwa ferry which takes you on a fifteen minute trip to Gozo were one could spend the day.

“Don't...unless you don't have any standards” Generally run down and dirty. Mattresses, pillows and cushions filthy, stained and smelly. No curtains at bedroom window and broken blind outside which meant anyone could see in if light was on.... more
