Home description

Located in Mellieha Valley, the apartment is on the third floor . Its sunny, bright & spacious. There are VIEWS FROM MOST ROOMS either of MELLIEHA VALLEY OR of the SEA . With the BEACH JUST 60M behind the flat, at night its lovely to go to sleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the rocky shore :)
Pebbly beach 60m, sandy bay 200m and the apartment overlooks two different streets!
At the front is the main street (Marfa Road) which cuts through the valley fields, while at the back (Street il-Qarnit) the bedroom windows look out over the sea 60m away.
The sea is practically on your doorstep and the Valley opposite means the terrace and kitchen/lounge are not overlooked.
You get 3 large bedrooms - spacious and with ample wardrobe space , 2 bathrooms, views from most rooms and fully equipped with your comfort in mind.
All rooms come with ceiling fans, large East facing doors and windows ensure the maximum amount of sunlight and the terrace is great for getting a tan or taking the table out for a warm evening meal.
Two sun loungers + sun umbrella are provided.
A selection of books, dvd s and games are supplied and there is a large fridge/freezer plus automatic washing machine at your disposal.
Lounge seating for six , 2 double beds plus 2 single beds, a spacious bathroom and a separate en suite with shower, basin &wc
Fluffy towels, jazzy bedlinen, ceiling fans in all rooms, dvd player, cable tv, hairdryer, washing machine, iron & board all included in the price.

Unless otherwise agreed, the property must be vacated by 15.00 and is only available after 10.00am

For young children there are books, magazines, puzzles, dvds and toys available in the apartment.

There is more than enough to do in the area for a week's holiday and the bus service is both efficient and regular.
A spacious rental, this apartment is in a neat block with large apartments so lodgers here are not on top of each other. All rooms are sizeable so it is ideal for family groups.
Well priced at a fraction of the cost of hotel rooms, you get the benefit of the whole apartment 5mins from malta's most popular sandy beach with buses running just outside your doorstep, making excursions around the island a mere hop from door to bus :)

The Island of Malta region

Malta is just 17.5 mls long x 8.5mls wide, but visitors always find the RANGE OF ACTIVITIES UNBELIEVABLE !!
Malta is a great holiday destination with hot balmy summers and great beaches to enjoy them on! Beaches are public and well taken care of by Lidos that provide a huge range of rental equipment (banana boat rides, para kiting, jet ski, scuba diving) and a diversity of activities (night cruises,quad rides,jeep safaris,fishing trips, island bus tours).

POPULAR BAYS within easy reach from our apartment are :
MISTRA BAY - 2KM away (no bus service) Quiet and still unknown to tourists, Mistra has a pebbly beach, is great for swimming and fishing and has a single restaurant (seafront and good food).
PARADISE BAY -1KM (no bus service) small but very scenic, great sandy beach.
ARMIER BAY - 2KM well taken care of by RAY's LIDO which does an unusual line in JET SKI SAFARIS :) Accessible by bus - a ride of 5 mins!
GOLDEN BAY - 6KM accessible by direct bus service. huge lovely sandy bay but be careful of the currents! The cafe turns into a very romantic restaurant by night!
and of course, the ISLANDS OF GOZO and COMMINO can be quickly reached by boat or ferry 120m-1/2km away

For comfort and relaxation - SPAS and BON VIVANT CAFES/ RESTAURNTSabound :)
The SOLANA HOTEL in Mellieha does a great buffet breakfast , open to non residents for 5euro pp.
Newly refurbished, the Solana also offers a good range of spa and wellness therapies.
A top notch restaurant in Mellieha's main road is 'THE ARCHES' - 700m. Wonderful meals, great wine list!
Sea edge is the RIU SEABANK hotel complex. 3 differnet restaurants including a children's playarea, Jungle theme restaurnat, bowling alley, internet cafe and a restaurant with nightly entertainment in summer.

The RIVIERA RESORT 1km away and easily reached by bus, has a wonderful spa - The ELYSIUM
The 'Riviera' has several eateries - pizzeria, cafe, 2 restaurants - all enjoying gorgeous sea views.
Sundays (not in July-Sept) the restaurant does a marvellous Buffet Lunch.

POPEYE VILLAGE is a must for children :) 700m distant from the apartment,there is a direct bus service in summer from the sandy beach of Ghadira to the village. A swimming pool, quad rides, theme park and year round activities make this complex a firm favourite.
MEDITERRANEO WATER PARK 7km makes for a great day out for all the family. The water park is next door to a Dolphinarium with shows held daily. For brave souls, it is also possible to arrange to SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS :)

Two PADI certified DIVING SCHOOLS in the vicinity. One is 30m away, the other is in Mellieha Village, 700m distant. DARE TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERNT THIS SUMMER! TRY A DIVING LESSOR OR TWO :)

In winter temperatures hardly ever falling below 10degrees making it a great time to take advantage of country pursuits such as clay pigeon shooting , archery, guided rambles around our lovely countryside or treat yourself to alittle luxury with Wellness and Spa treatments offered all over the island, on going concerts and operas, Fireworks Spectacular shows from as early as April 2009 and fine cuisine in every little village :)

The Maltese Islands offer an exhilarating contrast of colours: clear blue skies and the azure of the Mediterranean with the mellow honey-coloured limestone which characterises the architecture.

Located in Mellieha Valley,the apartment is bright & spacious :) On the third floor (served with lift) you will enjoy views of Mellieha's terraced fields from the SUNNY TERRACE and from the Kitchen/Living Area.Two of the BEDROOMS enjoy RELAXING SEAVIEWS of the blue Mediterranean :) At night its lovely to go to sleep to the sound of the waves! 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, views from most rooms and fully equipped with your comfort in mind :) Rocky beach 50m & safe,sandy beach 100m- safe because there are no undertows. A well stocked MINI MARKET is 20m away (overseas newspapers supplied).Al fresco cafes, restaurants and facilities start 20m from the apartment.There are plenty of activities, tours, cruises and experiences that you can book directly from Ghadira Bay within 7minutes walk from the apartment.
Ghadira Bay is an exceedingly popular bay with locals and tourists alike . The location is wonderfully calming with sandy beach on one side and Mellieha's green terraced fields on the other :)
It is predominantly family holiday turf , attractions are numerous (trips to Gozo& Commino, diving lessons,Popeye Village, boat cruises, plane trips)and buses run regularly from Ghadira to several other touristic villages throughout the summer months. A hive of activity in summer, Ghadira Bay remains cut off from the noisier aspects of tourist nightlife (karaoke /disco music) and at night it is pleasantly quiet and tranquil in my apartment even at the height of summer.
In winter it is the ideal place for a walking holiday, absorbing the fresh sea air and tranquil surroundings, enjoying the spas available in the vicinity and the excellent cuisine of two of Malta's finest restaurants located in Mellieha Village.
Spacious, comfortable, airy and sunny the apartment is a great place to spend a holiday :)

The island's national airline AirMalta offers worldwide flights and Malta is on most major airline's routes. Easyjet and Ryan Air both offer value-for-money flights to Malta.

Directions from Airport: Follow signs to Gozo, keep driving straight past Qawra and Bugibba area. Once you arrive at St.Paul's Bay you will see signs to Mellieha.

In Malta we drive on the LEFT and car hire is a good idea if you wish to spend some of your holiday exploring the island.
Despite its small size, Malta offers a wide and varied range of entertainment in addition to being a treasure trove of historical relics - notably the Hypogeum, Mnajdra Temples and (in Gozo) Ggantija Temples.

The bus service in Malta is quite reliable and extensive but on the island sister of Gozo, the bus schedule is sparse.

Its no more than 30m away , and very convenient in that it stocks a huge range of goods - daily newspapers (local and overseas), freshly baked bread, fresh jammy doughnuts :), fresh local fruit and veg, frozen meat selection, dairy products (local and imported) , detergents,suntan lotions, bottled mineral water, fizzy drinks and groceries.
Mellieha village is a 5 minute bus ride away or a 20minute walk and there is a good selection of village shops there, as well as cafes and restaurants. Well priced is 'Gianni's' , cosy & romantic with a lovely a la carte menu of local dishes and much beloved by tourists is 'Ta'Peter' also a well priced restaurant with the usual international selection of meat, pasta and pizza plus great service and a games room.Both 700m from the apartment in Mellieha's main road.

If you intend to drive in Malta please remember that we drive on the LEFT. Malta is 24 x7km wide. The island is well signposted and its many attractions are never more than 20/30 minutes away by car.

Marvellous apartment ! I'm Australian and often come to Malta. I love mellieha but apartments here always seem to have the most horrific uphill to their front door! This apartment is on the flat of the main road, so no nasty hills to deal with when you're coming back tired from the sea. Spacious too, we were a family of 4 and the children loved the enormity of it. Our kids enjoyed horse riding (pick up arranged by our wonderfully kind hostess), scuba diving with a dive school 60m behind the apartment, bowling at the Riu Sea Bank ten mins down the road and they loved having the internet cafe next door-meant they could keep in touch with their friends back home.Bus service is regular and frequent and buses stop just feet from the apartment so its ideal for touring by bus and we felt safe enough to let the girls go off on their own bus trips once or twice. Can't praise this place enough- Sheila keeps her rates very reasonable , very few flats have views in all rooms. The sea views from the bedrooms are great to wake up to and the sound of the sea really is soothing to hear of an evenin. Idyllic. Will definitely be booking ahead to ensure reservation - thanks Sheila!

The dwelling is generously and very wonderfully furnished. We found it very cleanly and maintained. Bedlinen and towels are present in generous number. In addition we found also some, which practically, but is not usual e.g. detergent, basic food for the first day, books in large number, dvds. The dwelling is suitable well for families with children. - The landlady was extremely helpfully and extraordinarily anxious around the well-being of the guests. We felt an unusually large readiness to enter requests and needs and pass information on. Delivery and assumption of the dwelling functioned very reliably. - The situation of the dwelling is well suitable both for stays at the beach and for trips: The beach of Mellieha is easy to reach by foot. Most objects of interest and the well-known sand beaches in the environment can be likewise very well achieved with the car. In the proximity is the ferry going to Gozo and buses to La Valetta and/or direction Gozo . "

One does not realize very well with the photographs but this apartment is particularly vast. It very well is equipped and located on the 3rd floor . Sheila, the owner is particularly accessible and makes any possible assistance so that its tenants pass the most pleasant possible stay. We appreciated not to be downtown full and we had a magic of our week. As indicated in l' announces, there are with 50m restaurants, a mini-market and the stopping of the buses (Valetta with 45mn for 0,58€!). In short, a very advisable address! "
