La Mediterranea Apartments are situated in the north of Malta, the picturesque town called Mellieha, Malta is rich in history, and a trip to Gozo & Comino the sister islands of Malta is highly recommended. La Mediterranea Apartments is the ideal place if you want to get away from it all with a choice of beaches in just a 10min drive away. The apartments are ideal for family holidays, especially for families with children & toddlers.
There is a large sundeck area, around the sharing swimming pool (8mts x 4mtrs) & a kiddies pool. There is also a big Bar b Que which guests can make use off. There is also a shower room & separate wc by the pool There are two 2 bedroom flats and a studio flat on this property. All the flats can be booked up together if one is travelling with friends & family.

The Island of Malta region
Malta is rich in history and there are alot of sites that one should not miss out on, like Valletta the apital city of Malta, with its bastions, cathedrals, musuems and the stunning Grand Harbour. Mdina is the oldest city and like Valletta is full of history. then of course there are the sister islands of Malta, Comino being the island between Malta & Gozo. Comino is famous for the Blue Lagoon, swimming at the Blue Lagoon is a must for any holiday maker visitng Malta. Gozo is just a 20mins ferry trip away north of Malta. In Gozo it is like time stood still, you can still find fishermen mending their fishing nets, it is a truly picturesque island also rich in history. Malta is not just about beaches, there is alot to see, it is one of the richest in history, and some of the architucture is truly astounding like the unsupported Mosta Dome.
Mellieha / Santa Maria Estate area
Mellieha is known for its various beaches but also for its village feast. it is the best feast of the island & it is always on the 8th of September. the village really goes to town with its fireworks displays & festivities. Some of the best restaurants are on this part of the island and once you go to these places you will always want to go back. If one loves scuba diving there are various scuba diving schools not only there are various water sports like, wind surfing, jet skiing, skiing ,sailing & kite surfing. Santa Maria Estate is the most exclusive part of the island.
How to get there
There are quite a few airlines that fly to Malta, some of which are British Airways, Easyjet & Airmalta. When you come out of Luqa Airport, follow the signs to Gozo Ferry all the way north. Go past St.Paul's Bay and Xemxija Hill, Keep following the signs to Gozo or Mellieha ( Mellieha is the last village before boarding the ferry). When you go up from Xemxija to Mellieha there is a winding hill at the top of it there is a big roundabout. Go round the roundabout & keep on the main road just 100mtrs from the roundabout on your right hand side there is a road (just before the petrol station) Triq il Kortin, turn to your right keep driving down till the road forks out, from there keep to your left the road is called Triq Birwina, keep driving straight down, & then turn left (Triq il Merill) go down the hill & on your left there is the villa no 245. The villa is the one before last on your left hand side.

Further details indoors: Flat 1 is the closest to the swimming pool. It is a 2 bedroom flat with a main bedroom that has a double bed & a large spare bedroom with 3 single beds although an extra bed can be put in if needed. There is a fully equipped kitchenette, dining/living room combined & a bathroom with a shower (not a bath) Both bedrooms have air condition. This flat could accommodate 6 people.
Flat 2 is round the corner from the poolside flat, it has it's own b'fast area outside. It is a 2 bedroom flat, the main bedroom has a double bed and the spare bedroom has 2 single beds although an extra bed could be put in if needed. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining/living room combined, a bathroom with a bath tub and hanging shower. Both bedrooms have air condition, the main bedroom has a ceiling fan if one prefers it to the air condition. This flat accommodates 5 people.
Flat 3 is a studio flat, it is next to flat 2. it is ideal for a couple. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a sofa, dining table and a bathroom with a bath tub.This flat has a double bed and above the bed there is a ceiling fan. It has its own courtyard. There is no aircondition in the studio flat.
Further details outdoors: All flats have separate entrances. There are 8 sunbeds around the pool & bar b que area.,two big umbrellas one over a table that seats 6 to 8 people & one umbrella over 4 sunbeds. On the deck area there is also a shower room, & a separate wc. The swimming pool is over flow & it is well looked after. the kiddies pool is ideal for babies & toodlers. On this property we have a beautiful garden that is looked after by a gardener. There are various fresh herbs such as parsley, basil, celery, sage, rosemary, mint , thyme, marjoram, oregano, curry and lavander, we also grow rocket, various chilli peppers and of course flowers. the guests can help themselves to the herb garden.

Flat 1 and flat 2 are catered with electricity meters, we provide you with a starter card. When it runs out one can buy meter cards from us. We have Lm 1 (Eur 2.33) Lm5 (Euro 11) or Lm 10 (euro 23) cards available for sale. If the card runs out during the night one can press an emergency button on the meter and you get a Lm1 (Euro 2.33) credit, therefore you will not be left without electricity. Every flat has a T.V with. digital channels & a dvd player. A welcome food pack (complimentary) is put in every flat. Smoking is not allowed inside the flats. Extra bed per person per night : Euro 6 / Stg 4 Cot for babies per week Euro 25 / Stg 18 Beach towels are not provided. CHANGE OVER DAYS ARE STRICTLY MONDAY TO FRIDAY ONLY
