where swimming and diving in warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea makes it a genuine pleasure most of the year round with that certain tranquility where one can just relax and enjoy the romantic surroundings with the combination of a sunrise, long stretch of sandy beaches, curving ancient rocks with caves, sea and country views surrounded with fascinating historic forts and towers, majestic monumental buildings and the coastal promenade decorated with a trail of festive night lights.

Good location for public transport as meters away from the apartment there is 2 bus stops.

Entering a private drive-in with surrounding matured palms trees and space for car park,

walking 6 steps down, leading to the ground floor entrance of the building.

Situated on the first floor the lay out welcomes you to a well-furnished open plan lounge,

Transport from Luqa airport to Mellieha, Malta:

1. By local bus Arriva the number X1 bus from the airport to Ghadira bus stop in Mellieha,

change bus cross the road on the promenade side, take another bus to stop at the Luna bus stop.

From there our team will greet guest,journey takes over an 1hour 15 minutes plus.

2. Airport transfer from Luqa airport, arrival lounge direct drop off to the holiday home in Mellieha,

journey takes 30/ 45 minutes,charge for this service is €25.

3. .Service of Car rental hire with rates starting from €20 daily including full insurance,

The sandy beaches can suit everyone who intend to stay out for the day and enjoy the beach clubs along the bay that provide the service of shops, snack bars, restaurants, cafes, sun beds, umbrellas and still space on the wide beaches that specialize in adventure water sports such as pedal boats, para sailing, paragliding, jet skis, banana rides, speed boats trips, diving exploring fascinating pre-historic caves surrounding Mellieha and Comino coast .There are frequent boat trips around the islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino and more.

The main town is a quaint village up the hill with all sorts of shops where you can pick up a bargain, souvenir shops, supermarkets, banks, ATM's, trendy restaurants, cafes AL fresco and various cultural organizations, including band clubs, sports clubs, various religious societies, parish community center, piazza square enjoying panoramic views as far as Gozo and Comino, sister islands of Malta.

The majestic baroque church, a land mark is dedicated to “Our Lady of Victories'. It is believed a holy statue situated in an underground cavern has special healing qualities.

High lights of the Feast celebrations starts from the 30th August till the 9th September, with the parish square organizing activities like musical programs, concerts, marches round the streets accompanied by enthusiastic supporters, colorful fireworks which can be seen from roof garden of the apartment, lighting up the skies, creating a merrier feeling among the present people .and ground fireworks with amazing effects.

The Gozo ferry from Cirkewwa (10/15 minutes on the bus from Mellieha) run every 30 minutes to the sister island.

Take a boat trip to sail across the placid waters, and then spend the day exploring the caves of the blue lagoon on the tiny island of Comino, sunbathing, swimming, diving, paragliding, jet skis, organized Bar-b-q and sun set party boats.

History

Mellieha is a large village in the North-western part of Malta and acquired the name from the Semitic which means salt. Some believe it meant honey, from the color of the stone. It has been inhabited since early Neolithic times (3000 B.C). Several megalithic remains and tombs of this era and other primitive tools and pottery were found in various localities round the village.

The Roman and Byzantine occupation in213B.C, Mellieha became inhabited by troglodytes who dwelled in caves and buried their loved ones in Punic style.

During the medieval 870 – 1530A.D. the valley got deserted due to continues raids of the Corsairs.

During the 17th Century the Knights build several fortifications to protect the inhabitants

Under the British lionization in 1844, Mellieha was established as a parish to encouraged people to settle in the area by giving leases to the population.

Today Mellieha prides the award for “European Destination of Excellence” by preserving its great archaeological and its unique environment.

Transport

Most of the local buses run frequently and take you anywhere on the island, a day ticket cost €2.50c use it all day traveling any part of the island.

We recommend to pre-booking your airport transfers before your arrival.

Here are the options of transport from Luqa airport Malta arrivals.

• By local bus Arrival you take the number X1 bus from the airport to Ghadira bus stop in Mellieha,

cross the road to the bus stop which is on the promenade side, from there you can take a bus and stop at the Luna bus stop, the apartment is just few meters away, journey from airport takes 45/60 minutes

• A driver from our company will meet you at Luqa airport, arrival lounge and transfer you

directly to your holiday apartment in Mellieha. The journey takes 30/ 45 minutes,

cost for this service is €25.

• Service of Car rental from our company with rates starting from €18 daily.
