You'll be close to various other attractions including Popeye's village (10 min drive). If you fancy horse riding, you're just a 15 min drive from taking a fabulous 90 minutes coastal sunset ride overlooking the channel between Malta and Gozo taking you through a nature reserve. Night life comes alive in the nearby villages of Mellieha (5 min drive) and Bugibba (15 min drive) where you'll be spoilt for choice to shop around and dine, wine and party in the numerous restaurants, bars and night clubs.

The apartment is split on 2 floors, both accessible by lift. The large open plan kitchen and living room is situated on the upper floor. This open plan opens out onto two terraces with magnificent views over the communal pool and Mediterranean sea beyond. A guest toilet is located on this floor.
The lower floor consists of a very spacious main bedroom with lots of storage space in wardrobes and chest of drawers. There are two interconnecting bedrooms with ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms lead into a courtyard. The main bathroom and a washroom are situated on this floor.

"Super seven days"

"One of the best holidays we've had!"
Our first trip as a family to the island and we weren't disappointed - so much so we've already booked to go back next year! Kevin's first rate at communication and it was lovely to be met at the apartment for a quick look at what's what. Bear in mind it's a hilly resort and there are 138 steps from sea level to the apartment! but it keeps you fit. The accommodation was fully equipped for all our needs and decorated to a luxurious standard. The complex is lovely and quiet except at weekends when local residents seem to invite extended family to lunch - they then also all use the pool so it was best to escape to the beach on those days. Trip Advisor really helped us pick out the best restaurants and trips - great to have wifi in the apartment and kids loved all the channels available on the tv. Weather fantastic, locals out and about extremely friendly. Supermarket just a short walk. We were perfectly happy without a car and used the great local bus service. All in all one of the most relaxing holidays we've had in a long time, and great to be warm too! I did get quite bad mosquito bites so do be warned. Roll on Summer 2014!

"New, clean and large but lacking in personality and amenities"
The flat itself is very new, so it's in generally good nick and very clean. It's also HUGE -- far larger than we needed and feels very solid, so you don't hear other people through walls or anything like that. Not sure why it's billed as a 3 bedroom though; there are two very large bedrooms, not three. The patio is a nice place to have meals. Wifi worked as promised. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice enough.
When we needed to get in touch with the landlord, he was available though not exactly 'warm'. We forgot our router at the flat though, and he mailed it back to us promptly, which we appreciated.
The kitchen could have more amenities. The dishwasher's tablet dispenser is broken and there's only one small kitchen knife. We requested more kitchen knives and got given steak knives, so cooking is a bit annoying. There's only one rubbish bin in the entire flat (in the kitchen), so you're constantly carrying rubbish up and down and around.
THERE'S NO COFFEE MACHINE. Or even a cafetiere or mocha machine so it's Nescafe or tea which I found to be quite a disappointment. It's not hard to provide a cafetiere after all and I don't think I'm the only one who likes my coffee in the morning.
The website says 'secure parking' and the building does have underground parking but we were just told to park on the street. Seemed safe enough but I definitely wouldn't call it 'secure parking'. I would say you definitely need a car. It's not in the centre of town, but with a car it just takes a few minutes to get into Mellieha or to the beach.
We travelled with our 4 year old and 1.5 year old. The stairs are basically a death trap. A toddler could very easily fall from the top of the stairs all the way down to a hard stone floor. The railing starts very high up and is just horizontal not vertical. Even our 4 year old could have fallen through easily, though he has more sense than to do that. Luckily there are doors at the top and bottom of the stairs and she wasn't able to open them, so as long as we kept them closed, she was fine but the stairs really aren't safe at all until a child is about 3, I'd say.
As mentioned, communication was efficient but not particularly welcoming. Overall this place feels very much like an investment property and there's nothing in it with any personality but it's new, clean and large (at least for us, a family of 4) with a pool and wifi, so depending on what you want, it may be right for you. But don't count on three separate bedrooms or secure parking. My toddler broke a photo frame and we were charged 50 Euros for it. I find it hard to believe it cost that much (I would have though more like 12ish GBP) but didn't feel like it was worth the fight.
