Farmhouse | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
A picturesque stone built house of great charm dating from 1762. A wealth of oak beams and open inglenook fireplace give the property a great atmosphere. All the character and quirky features of a bygone age with the comforts and convenience of a home-from-home. There are two attractive living rooms with quality sofas in which to relax with good company. Each of the 4 bedrooms is a unique, lovely and comfortable space. A large farmhouse table in the kitchen dining room makes for convivial meal times. A nice well-stocked garden and flower-scented summerhouse means the outside can be enjoyed as much as the inside. Lots of areas to enjoy and explore. The farmhouse occupies a great position in an area of beautiful, peaceful, verdant hilly countryside full of interesting vistas. The air is wonderfully clean. Being within easy reach of the English midlands and northwest cities of Liverpool and Manchester, yet in a completely different world, this is the perfect location for a weekend (or longer) away from it all with family or friends. The house is in two parts linked together by a conservatory downstairs with two separate staircases each leading to a twin and a double bedroom, making it convenient and private for two families holidaying together. One bathroom has a feature walk-in shower (no bath) and the other a bath with shower over.

"Perfect country cottage"
We booked the cottage for a long weekend, 6 adults and 4 dogs. It's actually 2 cottages connected together and one of the old kitchens is a big utility room perfect for drying wet dogs after walks. The garden isn't completely secure so you need to supervise the dogs as there are sheep in the field next to the garden. There's a lovely big table in the kitchen for meal times and the main living room is lovely and cosy with a log fire. The hosts are lovely and friendly and have lots of good recommendations on places to visit. Would definitely go back.
Thanks for choosing our cottage and we are glad you enjoyed it.
