The Victoria, Australia region

Walking along St Kilda Rd is, in itself, an iconic moment in Melbourne. Lined with magnificent trees, this garden Boulevard connects busy central Flinder's Street Station opposite the Federation Square and Tourist Information Centre with Southbank and the Arts Precinct, Queen Victoria Gardens to the Shrine of Remembrance, and the Royal Botanic Gardens through to the Yarra River. Over the Swan St bridge, numerous Sports Stadiums like Rod Laver Arena, Hisense Arena, Melbourne Park and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) reside; while a little further south, the strip of buildings either side of St Kilda Rd, (amongst which we are nestled,) is flanked on one side by the Albert Park Lake, and on the other, by Fawkner Park, and through to the Alfred Hospital, shops and restaurants and beyond to Chapel St and Prahran market.


We are part of a complex of low level townhouses or apartments, behind the tree surrounded Willows Restaurant, surrounded by high rise buildings, both commercial and residential.

Daytime hub of excited activity...nighttime quiet. We have within minutes walk away, the Blackman Hotel which has a Bar, Cafe and Restaurant of excellent standard, and at the next corner, we enjoy fine cuisine, coffee and wines at The Hunter's Restaurant.

Numerous cafes and convenience stores are within a block or two, both sides of the street. Walk to Post Office, banks and ATMs; to buy your newspaper, or to get a take away first class Melbourne coffee, though always better to sit in, especially at Hunters and try their Brownies!
