The house is within a beautifully kept gated, private residential community of Deer Lakes. It has a well kept and clean community pool offering a chance to meet your neighbours.
Aside from the numerous activities known in the Orlando area, there are plenty of places to visit, and great places to eat in the Melbourne and Space Coast area.
Kennedy Space Centre is only a short drive away, which menas that from the causeway or beach, you just might get an opportunity to watch the shuttle launch! Or why not experience one at the Space Centre Visitors Complex on the new Get Vertical Shuttle Ride Experience!

There are plenty of organised boat tours close by, so you can experience the wild side of the area. The local zoo offers kayaking tours of the Indian River, visiting the dolphin and manatee habitat along the way. There are plenty of opportunities to fish too, ither along the relaxing shores of the Indian River or why not charter a boat and venture out on a big game fish hunt. It's your choice!
You can find some lovely shopping experiences tucked away here and there. In the Cocoa and Melbourne Villages you will find antique shops, art galleries, great bars and boutiques. If dancing is your thing, there are two bars along the beach road offering live music nearly every night of the week, where you can eat, drink and feel like a native!!

The Florida / Space Coast region
The space coast offers beautiful beaches and an opportunity to watch a launch out of Cape Canaveral! If you search the internet under Space Coast, will will find plenty of information on what to do and where to go. However, the Disney resort is only 45 minutes away by car! And if you fancy a trip to Miami, you can get there in 2 hours!
The weather here is HOT HOT HOT! And at times very humid. But the house has air conditioning.
Melbourne Village area
Melbourne has some hidden treasures. You will be well placed for the Kings Theatre which has recently hosted the Russian Ballet, Tom Jones and Diana Ross, and is about to present the Broadway shows 'Mama Mia' and 'Camelot'
How to get there
Orlando International Airport is an easy 45 minute drive. You can search for low cost flights on Globester.com and don't forget to include Melbourne International Airport as well as Sandford and Orlando International. Also, why not book a car online. There are a great deal of low cost budget rentals available. Try out Thrifty or Alamo, both of which we have used and have found to be very efficient.
If you are not too worried about getting connecting flights, you could fly into New York and then use Jet Blue to fly the rest of the way. There are some great flight bargains to be had.
