It is also within the National Forest making it a superb location for walkers and cyclist, or just a car or bus ride to many city centres including Derby, Leicester, Burton on Trent for shopaholics.

Many tourist attractions for kids include "Conkers" or a trip to an Adventure Farm or Tropical Bird Santuary even Alton Towers is less than 1 hour away.

If you want a chill out break you could book a day at Champneys Springs or just enjoy a duvet day in the newly refurbished Donington Den or just curl up with a book in the lounge overlooking the quaint cottage garden.
